The 30 stars who featured in the song titled ‘Deewangi’ in Shahrukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om where taken by surprise as King Khan gifted them all an exciting and expensive gift hamper as a token of love. Since all the stars refused to accept money Shahrukh sent all a hamper containing expensive watches from an international company for which SRK is the brand ambassador, a Nokia N-series cell phone, a gold coin, an Om Shanti Om T-shirt, and a personalised letter written by SRK and Farah Khan.
Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Preity Zinta, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and Bobby Deol, among others, have made an appearance in the song. However, all of them did the song free of charge. Shah Rukh, to thank them, sent them a gift hamper each.
An actor, on condition of anonymity, says, “We all can do anything for SRK. It was a pleasant surprise to get this hamper. I am extremely happy since it will be a rocking song. Farah has really done a good job.”
When contacted Farah simply said, “I am not comfortable talking about this.”
