Yash Raj Films’ FAN is getting more interesting with each passing day, as Shahrukh Khan has announced that he will be playing the role of a 17-year-old in the Maneesh Sharma directed film.
Talking to reporters from the sets of ‘India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun’, the superstar said “The film (FAN) is very different. I will be playing 17 years old and I’ll take some help to do it. Perhaps with prosthetics, makeup or VFX”
While Shahrukh has been seen romancing heroines almost half his age, the 35-year-old former super model Waluscha De Sousa has been cast to play the lead in FAN. (article continued after the image)

When asked if he has made a conscious decision to cast heroines closer to his age, SRK said “Yes, Waluscha is in the film. More than age-appropriate heroines, it’s normally character-appropriate casting. What you actually have to understand is, mostly, for films that are not driven by commercial aspect, they are character-appropriate casting”
First announced to release in theatres during the Independence Day weekend, YRF’s FAN has now been postponed to a later date. The reason cited for the delay is ‘never before seen VFX’.
Shahrukh will be playing a 17 year old teenager as well as a mega star in the film.
he is 49 right now so we will see 32 times over acting in fan.

FAN will be a content driven movie but i think they may spoil it with too many things. Just like 19 abs in HNY (according to @sss) vfx will help srk look alike a teenager !!!!!!
This is one task too far for vfx team…. May get shelved when they come back with the17yr old look n it turns out to be shots of Aryan instead….
Content Rich Billu Fan is getting more richer than ever before..,, king playing a fan to himself, king playing a 17 yr old fan and next they will be 5 item songs in this rich content driven film- all performed by king himself- thats 2 more item numbers than original billu movie…

Maneesh may want to see a 17yr old king in his movie but truth be told they would get more credibility for Billu Fan being a Content Rich film, richer than MEA or Gadar or 3 idiots if they instead had King portray a 71 yr old father of superstar Billu in the movie n save a fortune as no makeup or vfx would be needed…!
Trying to make king look like a 17 yr old is as difficult as trying to get you to use spell check or drink more Complan not less…! Impossible task…

If SRK will release his movie on Friday 25 December, 2015 The Christmas Day, so it will be biggest inanity for SRK, SRK will have to release his movie week before Christmas which is 18 December, 2015 if he want to achieve the life time collections of PK and break that record of PK, otherwise it will be another Don 2 which was ended with life time amount of 110 crore
