Featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the song was sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra. The pre-release expectations of ‘Gerua’ becoming the ‘Sooraj Hua Madham’ of the current decade were fulfilled.

Gerua has also become the 5th most watched song on Youtube, it could soon go as high as the No 2.

Dilwale released in theatres during Christmas last year. The film went on to gross nearly 380 crore at the worldwide box office.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Dilwale, which also featured Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the key roles, was released on December 18, 2015.

  • On the hand, according to the junior Dhobis, Varun was enough to crash Ranveer. AND the Dhobiwale Craps load 100 times per hour was supposed to take SLB out to the street for begging. Instead, the Ram Lal ended up as a street beggar with the film..

  • @AbhiHR,

”To all who are saying dheere dheere se views are due to honey singh…then why not lungi dance, yaar na miley have crossed 100 million views?”

    Itna Uchalo Mat.
In the same vein, if Dheere Dheere Se 140 M+ Views were only because of Hrithik, then why didn’t Tu Meri song from Bang Bang cross 18 Million views? Food for thought!

The views were due to the song being an Album Song (unlike film song like Lungi… or Yaar Na..) + Hrithik + his long absence since Bang Bang + Honey Sing + Sonam + all the stake holders of the song.
In short, a result of a perfect team work.

  • @Ultron Salmaniac, Salman khan lallu khan & Tiger the real chuhe-
Lallu fans talking about ACTING?!!!!! That too in comparison to SRK who is the most awarded actor in the history of Indian Cinema?? Kya footi kismat hai SRK ko whose acting is being compared with a non-actors acting!! Lallu can ACT? Even the newcomers like Ranbir, Ranveer and Varun knows more acting than him. The only time Lallu managed to earn an award for acting was when he played sidekick to SRK in Kuch Kuch Hota Hain and even then at the Filmfare he said things like ” I hope Shah Rukh supports me like this”. If he has ruled since his debut why would he require SRK’s support? Why would he give 6 back to back flops in the 90’s. Not to mention the back to back disasters he gave for the entire decade of 2000’s!!

The number of times SRK showed what acting is? THis is the topic that makes SRKians the most proud. Since there are so many.

Darr, Baazigar, Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa, DDLJ, Pardes, Dil Se ( cult classic in spite of being flop), Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi KhusHi Kabhie Gum, Devdas (selected as the 10 best movies in the millenium worldwide by Time Magazine), Kal Ho Naa Ho, Veer Zaara, Swades, Paheli, Don, Chak De India, My name is Khan, Don 2, Jab Tak Hain Jaan and now Fan.

Many of the movies in the list have won National Award. Not to mention record breaking awards at filmfare. If there were any overacting in them they wouldn’t be so successful internationally
No wonder SRK is the most awarded actor. Not only awarded in his country but has won international honour from countries like France, Malaysia, Morocco etc. Special Honour from Yale University, Edinburgh University etc. Abe Bhaitard it’s a shame that SRK is compared with classless uneducated Lallu. To the Lallutards acting is equivalent to shaking belts and pockets. Lallu’s legendary performance (!!!!) in tera nam couldn’t earn him any honour.

So don’t do the bakwaas of talking about acting when you have opted for being a Lallutard. Be happy that some uneducated people watch Lallu’s movies. THE WHOLE WORLD prefers King Khan over non-actor Lallu. Even Indicine accepted that SRK is the most succesful actor ever.

  • @ The Phenom at 8:20 pm : Welcome.

Janam janam was an excellent song definitely and for me no lesser than the Gerua song. I am also surprised at the lesser number of views of Janam janam song. It is a bit confusing though. If you search for the song at youtube you will find two videos at top: one video of 4:03 min which they called Lyrics video (which I had quoted having 34.4 mn). There is another video also that of 2:13 min which also has 34.8 mn views which I did not quote. So I think half of people watched the first full lyrics video and the other half watched the shorter video. If we sum up the views of both videos then it becomes 68 mn plus which is more understandable for a song like Janam Janam hai. But since there were two videos and one was not a full video so I remained conservative and just quoted views of the full lyrics song.

The video was awesome too esp the part where SRK and Kajol dance in the rain reminding of their similar breathtaking dance in the rain in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Both Gerua and Janam Janam hai were sung by Arijit. Hoping we see more of SRK + Arijit in future.

  • @ANK : Good analysis .
Yeah they shouldn’t have released so called Lyrics video . One video , and the views would have crossed 70M .
