Red Chillies Entertainment has announced the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of 2017, the untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Anushka Sharma as the female lead.
It was Salman Khan who announced the date on Twitter. He tweeted “I’m going to tweet at 7pm today, Ek Baar jo maine commitment kar di … too much fun !”
“Shah Rukh Khan ki film aa Rahi hai. Date Maine decide kar di hai. Title tum log decide kardo. Best of luck Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali (Shah Rukh Khan’s film is coming. Date I have decided. You decide the title. Best of luck Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali).”
Alia had also expressed her excitement

That’s SRK’s lineup for 2017, two of the most important days of the year for the country – Republic Day (Raees) and Independence Day weekend (Untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali).

Till date, I thought this so called friendship (between SRK and Salman) is fabricated and both are just ‘pretending’ to be nice to each other.
But recent developments (when both were seen roaming together and praising and appreciating each others’ work) suggest that it’s not just a mere fabrication, but they have really become close buddies and their bond has been even strengthened further.
The above tweet reckons that belief.
So, I hereby announce that from today onwards , I disassociate myself from all those fan wars which involve SRK and Salman.
There is no point of wasting time and energy when these two have cemented their differences.
My personal choices will remain the same and I will continue to – love the stars whom I admire and dislike those whom I hate- but henceforth, I will not involve myself into any fan war.

As far as the release date, this is a good date though no much holiday advantage is associated with it.
However since SRK was not left with other options, Aug 11 will be an ideal release date.
Though, it would be good if ‘Crack’ moves to a different date averting the clash.
Let’s see how the things shape up from here.
