Why is Srk loved and adored by all his fans??
As a lot of ppl have said,it is because he is a self made superstar, intelligent, witty, charming, adores his family, works for charity silently for which even UNESCO has awarded him, works for 18 hours a day on average, has no affairs which is the rarest thing in life of a celebrity and respects women which is visible in his movies too.
He is not perfect and doesn’t even claim to be so. He accepts his faults, accepts his mistakes and moves on. That makes him human and acceptable to idolize than a lot of other people who are celebs and always faking themselves.
I have met him twice. He walks into a room and the energy of the room changes. Most importantly, no matter where he goes, he makes it a point to tell the audience to respect women. In his own life, we can see how important his mother was to his upbringing-he often talks about her, how important his wife is to him-she was the first girl he asked out and she is the last! and how important his daughter and sister are to him. I think,the respect that he shows to women is incomparable. That is the major reason you can see most of the girls loving him.
There is something called aura. He possesses a good aura, a positive vibe that inspires everyone. I call it a divine thing. Sometimes you meet someone and feel bad instantly,because they give negative vibes but with people like Shah Rukh Khan you only get positive vibes, only happiness, that is why everyone who meets him becomes his fan instantly. This is something I understood only after meeting him.
He is an actor and one of the best we have ever seen. His movies include classic romances like DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota hai, Mohabbatein, Dil to pagal hai; very simple middle class romance like-Rab Ne Bana di Jodi; action like Don, Don2; cross border classic like Veer Zara; patriotic content rich movies like Swades and Chak De India; social based like My Name is Khan and he has taken risks like-making movie on the great King Asoka, making a satire on Indian journalism way back in late 90s as Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani, a sweet ghost romance as Paheli, a movie on insurgency in north-east as Dil se. And yes,he has also done pure commercial movies like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year. A lot of people focus on his commercial movies and say, Oh see he cannot act. But they forget that he started his career with movies like Baazigar and Darr which ‘actors’ like Aamir Khan rejected, and he ended up stealing the scene and millions of people wept when he died even though he was the bad guy! Moreover, he took perhaps the biggest risk in a movie called Kabhi Alvida na Kehna, which was a look at marriages AFTER the ‘happily ever after’. No other actor would have dared to take a role like that where everybody hated him as he played the most pessimistic,annoying character-and guess what, every person I know,who has been married for over a decade, identified with his character while the youngsters who believe in fairy tales hated him! The point is-he CAN do whatever role he wants,and he does it well. He is also a successful businessman who owns production house,cricket teams and perhaps India’s best VFX company that has given world class special effects in movies like Krrish3.
In personal life, he embodies the very idea of India. His dad was a freedom fighter for India. He is a proud Muslim, married to a proud Hindu. His home has Koran as well as Gita. His children have grown up worshipping Bhagwan and Allah. He and his family celebrate Holi, Diwali, Christmas, Eid, Ganesh Chaturthi and so on. He is educated and has made sure his children are well educated too-and not in madrassas or religious schools but in proper schools and colleges,like the rest of us educated folks. He believes religion is a personal thing and respects all religion. His wife does not live in a burkha or sits at home and freely pursues her own career which he is supremely proud of and always supports her! Gauri has repeatedly said that her parents were not happy on her marrying a Muslim guy but now they are the proudest in-laws on seeing that he treats her like a Queen. He dances when India wins a cricket match and also supports initiatives that support peace in India’s neighborhood. A lot of people have a problem with this. But MOST of India loves this very thing about him. That his life is so much like us. Nobody wants to fight or kill in the name of religion and why should we,when we can all live peacefully?
MOST Importantly, we are extremely proud because SRK opened the doors of Bollywood to the rest of the world. Before him, Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakravarthy, Raj Kapoor were some actors who had made Bollywood famous in places like Russia, the Arab world..but SRK was the first guy whose movies made a mark in the hearts of many people who had not seen Bollywood movie before. USA, UK,Indonesia, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, France, Germany, China, Switzerland, Indonesia, Turkey are just some of the places you can find many fans of Shah Rukh Khan and check his twitter & facebook account where fans from all over the world always send him wishes and compliments. I myself have non-Indian friends from US, UK, France and Singapore who are crazily in love with Bollywood and they remember how Shah Rukh was the first Indian actor they saw with his movies like DDLJ, Dil Se, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. In fact, SRK’s movies not only make big money in India but have consistently been houseful and blockbusters in oversees market. He has been awarded prestigious titles in Morocco,France, UK and so on. His fans list include worldwide celebrities like Shakira, Barack Obama, Bret Ratner, Zayn Malik, Snoop Dogg and so on. This is what makes us really proud, with his hard work and passion,he has managed to bring so much glory and pride to India!
The thing is-all this makes a lot of people jealous of him and that is why, if you ask around or search on google,you will see a lot of people not liking him too but most of them will have bogus reasons to do so. As I said, they will talk about his acting skills and totally gloss over the superb movies he has done. Or they will talk about all the rumors that have been floating around by anti-Shah Rukh Khan group. The thing is-HE IS AN OUTSIDER and HAS NO CONNECTIONS with any political party or underworld, So he becomes a soft target for everyone. People have spread rumors about his connection with Pakistan, about him not doing charity, about his sexuality and so on..If you search around, you will find a lot of photoshopped pics spreading rumors about how Shah Rukh Khan supported a terrorist or said something bad. A lot of people takes this seriously. But if you carefully search around and look for sources of those ‘news’ ,you will find NONE because they are nothing but lies spread by those who cannot understand how a common man becomes such a living legend. He does not even spend a lot of time running against these rumor spreaders and focuses on his work instead,which is why you will see a lot of fans (like me) springing up when any rumor is spread and we give our life to prove them wrong. It is because with his professional and personal life, he has made such an impression on us that we cannot help but devote a lot of our time just admiring and respecting him. He IS PRIDE OF INDIA!
