Hindi Film Industry superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are the only two Indians in the ’World’s 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities’ list - which was released by Forbes on Tuesday (12 July).
With earnings of $33 million (Rs 221.3 crore) last year, Shah Rukh Khan is ranked No. 86 on the list. This includes his earnings from films and brand endorsements.
Akshay Kumar is ranked at No. 94, with earnings of $31.5 million (Rs 210.6 crore). No other Indian celebrity featured in the World’s Top 100.
Forbes figures are said to be based on numbers from Nielsen, Pollstar, Box Office Mojo, Songkick, and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders and many of the stars themselves.
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is the World’s Highest Paid celebrity with estimated earnings of $170 million (Rs 1140 crore) in the last one year. One Direction takes the No. 2 spot, with earnings of $110 million (Rs 737 crore), followed by author James Patterson at the third spot with $95 million (Rs 637 crore).
The annual Celebrity 100 ranking includes global talent from across entertainment, media and sports, with over one-third of the celebrities from outside the United States of America.
Just for clarity purposes when I had said that Amir/Akshay/Ajay/Salman are bashed at times and had quoted some reasons, the whole point was that I feel that they are wrongly bashed too.
Not that the reasons are right and we should ignore those reasons but I do not agree with those reasons at all. Just saying this before any fanbase thinks that I agree with those reasons too.
Srk and Aki both are very hardworking actors. Both are self made actors and superstars. But srk is the proud of bollywood. People knows bollywood bcz of srk.
If SALMAN Bhai wanted to be rich he would have been the Richest….common guys just imagine?? He made Sohail, Arbaaz, Atul all rich and healthy….he runs Gives his 30% of salary to his Being human Foundation, so what is left with him is controlled by his Father ….now tell me how can he be rich when he gives every single time!!!!!Just Being Human !!!!
