Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Shaandaar’ releases in theatres tomorrow. It’s a national holiday for Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami) which is why the Dharma Productions – Phantom Films’ production, hits cinema halls on Thursday instead of a normal Friday release.
Shahid’s last couple of films have done well at the box office and Alia has quickly climbed the ladder of stardom barely 3 years after the release of her debut film ‘Student Of The Year’. Their on-screen pairing has also generated quite a bit of interest, especially among the youth. The music has done reasonably well too, even though there are no chartbusters. The one other factor that could attract that audiences is the fact that Vikas Bahl is directing his second film after the glorious success of ‘Queen’.
On the other hand, the trailer of ‘Shaandaar’ received a mixed response and the audience doesn’t quite know what the story is all about. Also, Phantom Films has a mixed track record – apart from Queen, very few of their films have performed beyond expectations at the box office.

1) hskd was hit due to Alia…. Ppl whom i asked ..max ppl went to watch Alia ….!!..
2) shaandar trailer released….but i see everywhere talkin abt Alia’s pics….!!.. Nobody talkin abt shahid… Also many ppl say i will go to watch alia only….!!..
3) Abcd2 film released…!!.. But many ppl said becoz of sun shatiya song,, they watched it becoz shraddha looked good in it..!.. Ppl said they r going only to watch shraddha… Shraddha n dharmesh entry got cheers but varun =no response…!!..
4) a small Baby can tell 2 states was hit due to Alia.. Max people went to watch alia only… And not ugly Arjun…!!.. Chetan bhagat novel was also benifitting factor.. But it was alia who got accolodes coz ppl watched due to alia…!!..
5) twmr everybody know it was hit due to Kangana…!!..
6) Yjhd was hit becoz deepika has huge followin .. Ppl watched it coz of her…N praised her act only…!
7) HTP flopped coz it did not have alia,,sharaddha,deepika…!!.. That means male lead Sid cannot make a good ROM-COM hit with Dharma banner n huge marketing …!

Shaandaar is youth oriented movie as well as for family adiences. I am sure shaandaar will be open huge. My prediction on opening day is 19.5 crs.
I was waiting for this article for a long time . This time you have been very late in posting your predictions . I think Shaandaar will do 10 – 12 CR on 1st Day . Shasndaar is generating good buzz because it has been well promoted and the trailer has worked with the audience especially the youth . It has 3 weeks before PRDP which means it has a lot of time so if the movie clicks it can more than 100 CR . I think it will be Shahid’s Highest Opener and it will beat easily the opening day of Rajkumar . It is the first time Shahid is working with Dharma in his career of 12 years . If this movie becomes a Hit then people will be excited for Udta Punjab . Apart from Shahid, Alia, Dharma and Shaandaar tomorrow is a very important day for Indicine as well . If their prediction turns accurate then all good but if it goes wrong they will be once again trolled in the same manner like KKPK, SIB and PKP 2 . I sincerely hope the movie does well.It’s for the first time this year I am nervous for any movie.Desperately want to see Shahid make it to the big league.He is the most underrated actor in Bollywood.The movie’s success would do a world of good for him and Bollywood.

Look at shameless BOI today they posted an article that phantom films is poor at making films and people go to watch movies by seeing the banner..i mean are you crazy they never mentioned dharmas attachment,vikas bahl queen director..if they want to degrade any movie they can be as cheap as possible…i mean who cares about banner and people go to watch after knowing the banner..i mean its fine maybe yrf,dharma still have an effect of 3-4% but audirnce really dont care BOI grow up..

As Shahid is one of my favourite ,so wishing him all the best for shaandar and also expecting opening should be more than 15cr,I’ll be very happy.
Shaandar will be 100cr movies if story will liked by the audience,and expecting a very good story and from vikas bahl.hopefully with this film shahid will get a new stardom like ranbir kapoor.
