Sarbjit Release Date announced, shoot ends next week

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s upcoming film ‘Sarbjit’ is currently in its final shooting schedule. The film, which has been shot in places like Punjab and Delhi, will be wrapped up on March 15 (next week), after which the film will go into post-production.

Sarbjit is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death. He was later killed in the Pakistani prison, more than 2 decades after he was first arrested.

Randeep Hooda will play the character of Sarabjit, while Aishwarya plays his sister Dalbir Kaur – who dedicated her life to fighting for her brother.

The film also stars Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar.

The first poster of Omung Kumar’s directorial was recently launched at BJP president Amit Shah’s residence in his presence along with union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

The poster features Aishwarya as Dalbir Kaur in the film. It garnered a lot of appreciation from the industry, critics and audiences for its impactful design.

Release Date: May 20 2016.
