After reports of almost every actor in the industry replacing Hrithik Roshan for Karan Malhotra’s SHHUDDHI, Karan Johar has signed Salman Khan for the film.
While the leading lady is yet to be announced, Dharma Productions has blocked the ‘Diwali 2016’ weekend for the film, which was previously rumoured to be the release week of Shahrukh Khan’s next with Aditya Chopra (a rumour that was denied by Yash Raj Films on Tuesday).
Karan Malhotra, who last directed Hrithik in Agneepath, will be directing Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in the Hindi remake of ‘The Warrior’, after which he will begin work on ‘SHHUDDHI’.
Meanwhile, Salman will also wrap up all his pending films after the release of Kick, which includes Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
While it will always remain a mystery why Hrithik Roshan decided not to do ‘SHHUDDHI’ and instead opted for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’, the makers couldn’t have hoped for a better replacement than Salman for the ambitious Karan Malhotra film.

who told you that Salman doing romantic movie..?
Just look at the lineup all films are action,comedy or drama…not a single romantic film.
We are not against SRK but beleive me you cant do romantic film at age of 50.
Look at the difference between collections of JTHJ & YJHD.
You will get that people love to watch romance of young actors & not half aged.
The fact is different incase of action films.
Thats why all big banners & directors want to work with Salman.

Few days ago the report were popped up that Farhan Akhtar also want to work with Salman.
Yes he should wish it because he knows that there is no point in streaching the Don series…because The Amitabh Bachan is one & only Don of bollywood & people not want to see anyone spoil this iconic character….atleast BO of Don2 says it.
I hope he does justice to the film. I also wonder what was the real reason behind Hrithik opting out of it, health and divorce came to my mind initially, now I believe it was money issue as rumored earlier. After all, he will be getting 50 crores for Mohenjo-Daro.

@Tangori, there is nothing wrong in one actor replacing another. SRK replaced Salman in Chak De India. Rajnikanth replaced SRK in Enthiran. SRK was the first choice for Munnabhai films. It happens all the time. In our sources are to be believed, Hrithik had issues with the script. Even SRK came to Dharma office to discuss Shuddhi. Sometimes things don’t work out. No big deal.

First they abused Aamir because he did D3 & they thinks no one could replace Hrithik in Dhoom series.Now see the results D2 is noting infront of D3 incase of BO.
Then they abused Shahid because his film is clashing with Hrithik’s film.

You have to respect all actors & dont forget Aamir & Salman are Hrithik’s seniors.Even Hrithik himself said that he taken body building inspiration from Salman & trained in Salman’s gym in early days.

What’s new in that?? Salman has a long history of working in those movies, which others left considering them as crap. He is born to work in all those movies, which other superstars leave.
@rohit see the diffence between jthj n gtpm or anjana anjani. See the diffence between rnbdj n yjhd. Jthj was a rejected film, you can’t compare a rejected film with successful film, if any young actor do jthj then it will become flop n if srk did gtpm or anjana anjani then it will become hit. When film was rejected then only srk n salman film do 100cr in a worst case..

This is good lesson for hritik fans who were keep hyping shuddi. I don’t know y hr fans were so obsessed about shuddi. Nobody knows story theme etc. other than hritik. Salman has just signed it because it already hyped by hritik fans.
