If rumours doing the rounds within the industry turn out to be true, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan could play the villain in the fourth instalment of the super-successful Dhoom series.
The recently released Dhoom 3 created history at the box office late last year, when the film went on to collect more than Rs 500 crore worldwide.
While the first Dhoom film featured John Abraham playing the antagonist, Hrithik Roshan played the character of ‘Aryan’ to perfection in Dhoom 2, delivering the biggest grosser of 2006 and also going on to win the Filmfare Best Actor award. For the third instalment, Aamir Khan was cast alongside Katrina Kaif. Although the film didn’t win any of the major awards, it was by far the most successful film of 2013.
For Dhoom 4, there are reports that Salman Khan will be playing the villain. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue to be a part of the series.
A source close to Yash Raj Films also added that, henceforth, the gap between two Dhoom films, won’t be as long as Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3 (7 years). So, expect an announcement to be made soon!

@Sumit suman yes u r absolutely right.From 2008 to current date Aamir and Salman r holding all records except some other small stars who had some records coincidentally for 2-3 months in between and again this year Salman and Aamir r ready with ‘Kick’ and ‘PK’ to break their own records.
YRF makes their big budget movies with Salman and Aamir as they know that it is safe to spend money on the movie starring this 2 khans.Salman had given them their 1st 300+ crores movie worldwide while Aamir had given them 1st 500+ crores movie worldwide.

I wouldn’t mind seeing previous film’s villain in another sequel as a cop, example Hrithik as a cop in a sequel since John and Aamir have died in previous installments.

Even if a smaller star than Salman like Ajay Devgun or Akshay Kumar is casted as a villain it would mean that the 4th installament of Dhoom will be the biggest film of its time! And Salman being one of the biggest stars (if not the biggest among all) will only ensure the film is the biggest grosser ever no matter what would be the record holder at the time of its release! And to make this one even bigger YRF should rope in Deepika for the female lead!
