Salman Khan’s line-up of upcoming films is getting better by the day. The superstar is all set to work with one of the most acclaimed directors in the industry – Shimit Amin who has directed classics like Ab Tak Chappan, Chak De India and Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year.
For those unaware, Salman was the first choice to play the lead character of Kabir Khan in Chak De India, a film that Shahrukh Khan eventually signed. The rest, as they say, is history.
Now, more than 7 years later, Amin has once again approached Salman to play the lead in his next. The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films.
If reliable sources close to the banner are to be believed, Salman has already given his nod and the official announcement is expected to be made very soon!
There are also reports that Salman has signed the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger which will be directed by Kabir Khan. The source also added that another film directed by Kabir, starring Salman, will release during Eid 2015.
Very Big Mistake by makers
For all those stupids barking here that Salman will spoil the career of CDI director,let me remind & make it realize to your shit filled brains that none of ur srk’s popular films were directly approached to him whether it may be darr,baazigar,ddlj or cdi.All were either rejected or couldn’t be done due to date issues by other superstar’s.You are no way better than directors or the makers in judging & finalizing the cast & crew of a film,they knew very well about the capability of each & every person surviving in movies.So come out of ur insecure,selfish,stupid & cunning behaviours on creating negativity about other’s & get a life.

I liked Chak De. It was a cool movie, and one of the few srk movies i like. May be the only movie, i guess, after Darr, that i like of srk.

Darr rejected by amir khan because the role was negative… so he don’t have the courage to do negative at the early srage of his career.
Bazigaar rejected by salman because the character of ajay/vicky was not like other heros of 90’s.
Ddlj rejected by saif.. okay that was not too challengable character for me..
chak de india again rejected by salman again because the movie was less mass appealing, class oriented movie..

Aamir did not reject Darr because of negative characteristics, but he handed the role to his the then “friend” srk.
Salman rejected Baazigar, because he wasn’t convinced with the narration.
During these two above films, srk was newer and when opportunity came knocking he took it.
It was not risk taking, but something better than nothing, and he had no choice and took whatever came his way.
Chak-De again was rejected by Salman, because he again was not conviinced by the story of girls playing hockey doing any good.
It has happened with lot of stars, like in south, Revathi (the thinking actress as they call) rejected a role in movie that went on to become all time highest collection ever for that, and she said that she was not convinced with the story and when the movie came out she realised that the director’s on-screen story telling was much much better and different than when he narrated.
Hence, Chak-de was not rejected by Salman because of class appealing and things that you talk.
Don’t try to glorify a person with your own personal ideas and half knowledge, just because you are a fan of that person.
Once thing for sure Salman will get an opportunity to showcase his acting abilities in this movie (first time post Dabangg). I hope he doesn’t disappoint.

@JC Good/Great actors do not wait to be convinced with the story telling.They just take the challenges & show the world their real talent.One more thing Aamir never rejected DARR for his friendship with SRK.Even YASHJI told in one of his interviews that Aamir was scared to do a negative role so early in his career that too in front of Sunny Deol who was a much bigger star than him at that time.
Accept the fact that,Salman can never ever do class oriented roles like Baazigar,Darr,DDLJ.Chakde India even in seven births.He is just a “SADAK-CHAP” actor who is only liked by sadak-chap people for doing only crappy garbage type south remakes.

We can’t imagine Salman playing Kabir Khan in CDI. He suits in south remakes only. But if at all, he will dare to try such roles,he will again go back to his pre-wanted era..when he was struggling for an above average,let alone hits or Bb’s.

It is really pity to see Lungi Thakur’s fans crying too much out of burning jealousy. Hardly does any film-maker want to work with Lungi Thakur except some of his friends. Film-makers are not stupid but well aware about who has the biggest draw at the BO. Lungi Thakur has become hugely dependent his co-stars to pull audience to the theatres. Result: his female lead is taking over his forthcoming film Players 2.
I sincerely want to advice Lungi Thakur’s fanatic and i’ll-mannered fans to do their best for the forthcoming Players 2 in Diwali instead of bashing up other actors. Bashing up other actor will produce no good for the Lungi Thakur’s films. It will rather discourage some people from watching his films.
Besides, I’d like to share something on why Aamir rejected Darr. According to one of Aamir’s interview, he rejected the film because the late Yash Chopra was playing a double game. He was narrating a kind of story to Aamir and something else to Sunny Deol. Aamir knew it was simple-minded Sunny who was being mis-used. Being an intelligent person, he foresaw the consequent problems and simply avoided them by rejecting the film. And our very Lungi Thakur was not a Thakur at that point of time due to the lack of work. So, Lungi Thakur embraced the project. You all know what happened among Yash Chopra, Lungi Thakur and simple Sunny. Reportedly, Lungi Thakur got banged by Dhai Kilo Ka Heath.
By the way, Salman has very good films in line-up that we can look forward to: Kick, Sooraj Barjatya’s film, No Entry 2, Two Films with Kabir Khan, with Shitmit Amin, with Prabhu Deva, (reportedly) with Rohit Shetty under Dharma Productions….. ..
The apt choice for Chak De India was Salman Khan. He would have 100% looked the hockey coach the movie demanded. Anyway, better late then never ! This new Shimit Amin venture should shine with Salman Khan now. We all look forward to it.
