He might be the biggest star of the country, but Salman Khan is still humble and down to earth. The star has been extremely busy with his upcoming film Sultan, for which he is training extensively as he plays the role of a wrestler in the film. Because of this, Salman was not able to visit an event for which he had given his consent.
The event was the ‘1st International Film Festival for Persons with Disabilities’ (IFFPwD). Salman, sources say, regretted the fact that he couldn’t attend the festival and thus he uploaded a video apologising for the same and asking for forgiveness because he missed the event.
The video starts with him introducing himself. He then goes on to say
“I should have been a part of this festival, but due to my packed shooting schedule for ‘Sultan’, I couldn’t be there physically. But from my heart and soul, I am always up for such causes. To start a film festival especially for differently-abled is a really noble thought.
“Cinema, movies and Entertainment is a big part of the Indian culture and I think everybody should be a part of this culture and why should the differently abled people be left out of this? Many who can see but not hear and some who can hear but not see, they all should go and enjoy and should be provided with the necessary facilities.”
We are sure, the people connected to the event will be glad on receiving the video message from Salman.
The three-day festival, organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the social justice and empowerment ministry in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), started with the screening of Marathi film ‘Yellow’ on Tuesday at the Siri Fort auditorium.
It will screen 40 Indian language and international films — 16 short films, 14 documentaries and 10 features (7 fiction and 3 documentary films) before coming to an end on Thursday.

To all those spreading negativity due to it being a rom-com, I would like to tell you it is only partially a romantic movie and is truly a breaking-the -barrier-living-life-to-the-fullest-motivating movie!!!
Ranbir’s character goes through the same problems that we all go through but unlike us, he has time to realise it before it is too late….
The tagline of the movie,why always the same story?, is done justice in this movie and I think every middle class engineer-type nokri man should see it..
The only negative I found was that though songs were good, they weren’t upto the mark..
And for all those who don’t know, DP has a smaller role as this is not a rom-com but a dfferent kind of coming-of-age…
I wish that everyone would see it once, many awesome movies have failed this year and I hope that this is not added to that list…

I am not sure how many people who comment on this site read the Holy Scriptures but there is a passage when the Lord was asked “Who is my neighbor” His reply was ” I was in prison you visited me not, I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you did not give me drink, I was naked and you did not clothe me, but if you do it unto the least of these you do it unto me.
I say all that to say this, that I firmly believe that Salman because he reaches out to the least of the loved within the communities is why he is so blessed, it takes nothing to be kind to others, and God has blessed him with a good heart, because that’s what God sees, we see the outside, we see the failures of others and become judgmental against Salman and others like him.
My prayer is that as he reaches out to the unlovable that God would continue to reach down to him and his family and shower them with blessing above all else, health, love and happiness.

salman khan is not the biggest star. srk and aamir are way more popular and bigger stars than him everywhere be it india, overseas and worldwide. but in recent years salman just has been lucky as he is playing safe by releasing all his movies on big festivals otherwise he struggles to give a hit example veer, jai ho. so in terms of recognition and star power all over the world, srk and aamir are unmatchable and salman is just local star not as popular as aamir and srk worldwide. also now a days srk and aamir are doing very few films as compared to salman, so that also has benefeted salman a lot. still I would say that aamir and srk are biggest stars of indian cinema. period.

For example,i used to call some films boring in my teen age but now i understand those films.Because patience is the key which comes in mature age. u can say it boring. But if u say prdp is crap,then u should teach ur elders how to make a great film.
