Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged citizens of the country to send their Diwali wishes to the soldiers. Supporting his initiative, superstars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have posted messages and also urged their fans to do their bit by sending Diwali messages.
Aamir wrote: This is a wonderful gesture. Our PM is absolutely right, the support of 125 Crore Indians for our soldiers will fill them with love. Let us all join him in sending our messages. Love. a.
You can also send your wishes by giving a missed call to ‘1922’, after which you’ll receive a message with the download links. Download the app and send your wishes to the various defence forces.
Akshay Kumar also posted a video where he praises the soldiers and urges everyone to send their Diwali wishes to them through the app.
