  • Great Job indicine! Their are lot of regular viewers are from Maharashtra! Your team have to start providing more info about other Marathi movies Boxoffice!

  • Ajay & Atul are being praised from everywhere. Are their music that good?
I haven’t listened to many of their songs yet.

They had done a great job in Agneepath though.

Now a days, Songs are not that long lasting. Songs like Sanam re , Soch na sake stay for2-4 months only. Still, there are a few tracks which stay for a longer time!

Songs like Abhi Mujhmein kahin, Noor E Khuda, Dil kyun yeh mera, Duaa etc have stayed with me.

Lootera album is probably the best album of the decade for me!

Mujhe chhod do mere haal pe.. Zinda hoon yaar .. Kaphi hai..

Dil mein jaagi … Ishq waali .. Manmarziyaan.. Manmarziyaan…

Sadiyon poorani.. Aisi ek kahaani.. Rehgayi.. Rehgayi.. Ankaheen..

Shikaayatein mitane lagi .. Subah bedaag hai.. Subah bedaag hai..

  • Aamir want to collect some popularity for Dangal by appreciating a BLOCKBUSTER film

Dangal will be flop so what you want to cover up your intolerance comment Aamir

    Great collection

  • Guys, Just watched Tamil/telugu movie 24.. This is absolutely masterpiece! This movie will put Hollywood biggies to shame!!. What a story and acting by Suriya…. May be this gonna be Aamir Khan next…. As it is coming from actual ghajini actor!.

Movie concept is based on time machine but every scene is unpredictable.. Actor Surya doing both hero and villain role!!! Amazing!! May be this will be India’s entry to Oscars!!

  • @xzone : Stop burning !!!!! kindly take Amisulpride early in d morning & before going bed…cont till Crpy Raees release will b OK soon…..Get Well Soon Buddy

  • Such a worthy film to be on top. Movie should cross 50cr mark and I am sure it will.
Brilliant direction, superb acting by all characters specially the lead pair and Arbaz shaikh and Tanaji galgunde.
The music of the film is top notch.
The handling and treatment by director is fresh and so real.

  • @indicine, you should publish the articles about regional films also, besides you also have to give there box office collection.

  • @navin,but every regional movies are crossing collection of your 40cr disaster club movie near starting bhaijaan, what about?it’shard to predict how many regional movies surpassed this epic golden 40cr disaster called veer, rofl.

  • Nice to see regional cinema finally challenging Hindi movies. The South India industry was always strong with stars like Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan but the way other regions like Punjab and Maharasthra are progressing in the industry, its really interesting!

  • @navin,but every regional movies are crossing collection of your 40cr disaster club movie near starting bhaijaan, what about?it’shard to predict how many regional movies surpassed this epic golden 40cr disaster called veer,ROFL….

  • @ Nipun at 1:54 pm : Have seen u talking about Lootera and some users making fun of that here too. Am a big fan of that movie too. Loved both Ranveers and Sonakshis performances. It was a superb movie.

Don’t think the songs were that good to be called decades best but still were very very good. That Zindagi song in the end was amazing. The background score of the movie was really good.

It was Lootera which made me a fan of Ranveer (later he followed up with performances like RL and BM). Regarding Sonakshi, that is the only performance of her which I had really liked and she was good in Dabang too. But not a fan of her other than that Lootera performance.

I love that movie too but u seem to be too big a fan of it.

  • @ Indicine Team at 3:23 pm : The trending of this movie is really amazing. When I saw it, it too reminded me of Queen’s trending.

    • @ANK, yes, but there is a big difference between the two. Sairat took a record opening and then smashed its own record in Weekend 2. It’s like a Hindi film collecting 120 crore in first weekend and then bettering it in Week 2.

Movies like Queen and Vivaah opened slow, then picked up.

  • I am in Mumbai and i loved Marathi films of the past. But, because of the influence of BIG B….i mean Big Bollywood……it started aping it and lost all its uniqueness………It happened in Malayalam when most of the movies were trying to ape Tamil masala flicks which is a huge industry.

However, since last 3-4 years, with new guys at the helm, things are back to good ol days for Marathi and Malayalam……

If you are a true lover of cinema you will love these two unique industries, that have given gems over the years……!!!!

Being a malayali, i may sound biased, but if you compare bollywood and hollywood to all regional cinema, i would say regional cinema is by far miles ahead…..bollywood and hollywood have oodles of money, but with a limited budget, lower reach, working in shadows of these huge industries, the regional cinemas like Malayalam and Marathi are iconic.

Malayalam cinema, in fact from the 60s have always been rocking with original story, superb direction, brilliant actors and actress, coupled by risky and completely off-beat stories said in plain and simple way…….

People say that Hirani’s movies are the best, to them i would say, just watch the movies from mid 80s to mid 90s of Malayalam…..they are masterpieces, that took social causes / practices and gave a humours twist that made people laugh on the sillyness going on in their society…….many of these movies can never be made in Hindi because of the fear of backlash from a section of community or political power etc.,….which is never the case in malayalam films.

  • finally u made article….. i was waiting for it…..thanks….. lots of love @indicine….team

  • @JC agree with ur pts…..this two industries is unique…..bcoz of connection….. the content, language, all connects among audience…. bcoz the language used in the regional movies is similar to them….and due to the realistic approach of this two industries peoples get involved in screen-play and end up with liking movie….
in case of Sairat…language used in the movie is typical Rural Marathi…. that’s why it get connected with Single Screen audience of Maharashtra…. where second half of movie is purely dedicated to class-audience or multiplex… no song, filmy twist in Second half ……resulting in BB collections

  • @Indicine about collection….screen count was increased in the second week
sc of first week: 400 n 10000 show
sc of second week: 456 n 13000 show

  • @Indicine Maharashtra have very less no of single screens than TN,AP or Karnataka….am i right….?

  • @ Indicine Team at 4:04 pm : Agreed.

In that case Sairats achievement is much much bigger than those movies.

  • @indicine, can u make a list of top 10 hindi dubbed movies, in terms of box office, reviews, and dvd sales….Focus on Tamil, marathi, etc, I want to know

  • In one of the multiplexes in Kolhapur, a Khan film usually opens on 10-12 shows, remain on that for weekend and then drops on 5 or 4 shows for the weekdays.
But this film even after 12 days is still running on 9 shows, that too with the housefull shows!
This is simply AMAZING, MIND BLOWING, INCRIDIBLE AND TERRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!
