Here is the new poster of Rustom. The trailer will be out on 30th June at 9AM on Youtube. The release date of the film has been re-confirmed too. It releases worldwide on 12 August 2016 – same day as Mohenjo Daro.

He’s a very good actor but a medicore star.
By the way both the posters of Rustom are very good. Since the movie is based on the famous Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra of 1959 I would assume it will be an intense drama mood film with a lot of court scenes. And as Indicine pointed out in the previous QnA Rustom will be primarily targeting the multiplex audience as these kind of genres won’t get much takers in the single screens of rural areas.
Now the interesting part of the clash will be the screen count and more importantly the time slots allocation for both the movies in the multiplexes. Few points that came into my mind are:-
Akshay has delivered 2 100cr movies in 2016 and both were multiplex targeted movies. So the makers would obviously want to cash in on that streak with Rustom which is again a multiplex targeted movie.
Hrithik has always been a favourite at multiplexes and AGPPL has confirmed via Twitter that Mohenjo Daro runtime is only 2 hrs and 30 minutes which is much much less than all the previous movies of Ashutosh. That will definitely help the movie to get much more daily shows than a usual Ashutosh movie. And adding to the fact that UTV is at the helm of Mohenjo Daro I won’t be surprised if they have already done the bulk of the booking at the multiplexes.
Now all eyes will be on Rustom trailer, since Mohenjo Daro’s trailer didn’t make the desired ‘positive’ impact the verdict of Rustom’s trailer will be crucial.
