The makers of Rustom seem to be in a hurry to begin the promotional campaign of the film and Akshay Kumar, in almost every tweet related to the film, has highlighted the release date.
A new motion poster of the film is out and it’s a combination of the posters that we have already seen, along with the title song that goes like “kise hai fikhar, galat kya sahi.. jo jeeta yaha hai Rustom wahi..”

The makers of Rustom are making it absolutely clear that they are coming on 12th August . They have released 3 posters till now and I think now they should release the official teaser or trailer so that Rustom gathers good momentum till August . If they release more posters than it will become boring and people will lose interest in watching Rustom . Housefull 3 will release before Rustom so they should concentrate more on H3 . According to reliable reports the trailer of Housefull 3 will release in the month of April .

stars are now avoiding masala movies.because most of masala movies are underperforming in multiplexes,which generates 70% of total business.
Yes, they are in very hurry. Not only it will be clashing with one of the biggies Mohenjo Daro, but also it will release after 2 month and 10 days after the release of Housefull 3, if Housefull 3 also remains in multiplexes for 1 month, then that would mean gap of just over 1 month between lifetime run of Housefull 3 and release of Rustom. I think they should really reconsider the release date. It won’t be good for either party.
Posters have been good, though, and it really looks intriguing and promising.
Akshay is doing very Sensable movies now days… Keep Doing Akshay . you are one of the best actor in bollywood . And Bollywood need such type of actors.
Keeping in view that the release date is still quite far right now, these continuous promotions are a bit too much. Apparently the only reason seems to be that they are putting pressure on the Mohenjodaro makers.
I think Mohenjodaro makers will also be planning something special and will hit back quite strongly. Once the teasers/trailers of both movies release then we will have a fair idea where both the movies stand.

@ANK, Yes. Shivaay makers have been doing the same. The problem for Mohenjo Daro is, it’s too big a film. The budget is nearly 2 times more than Rustom and recovery will be difficult if it doesn’t get a solo release.
They will release around max 2000 screen or less….
I think mohanjodaro will get easily 3500 + screen….and mohanjodaro will get 400-500 screen in south also if they release in tamil/Telugu… So I don’t see any clash…
Rustom is look like niche film… Not high buzz film… Lifetime will be max 60-70 cr

This looks like a “real” movie with some hardhitting script and content…..unlike the many overhyped doing the rounds recently.
in 2007-2013 years promotions plays a crucial role in movies verdict.

ce gets blockbuster and hny just saved from flop due to its all time 1 year heavy promotion and unheard manipulation which gives it fake record breaking collection.
kick can collect above 250 cr if it was welly promoted.
but in case of dilwale just 2 months of heavy promotion nt 1 yr,if dilwale is given no promotion lyk pk(27cr opening with unfavorable genre and no songs,)it can’t touch 15cr opening with favorable genres and chartbuster songs and rohit shetty factor.
The makers & Akki are confident of their product. The message is very clear, whatever happens, they are not making any changes to the release date of the film.
Even if there is a clash, I’m sure Rustom will be the winner.
