John Abraham and Shruti Haasan’s ‘Rocky Handsome’ has been indefinitely postponed from its 2nd October release date. The film which was earlier planned to clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Singh Is Bling’ on Gandhi Jayanti this year, will release at a later date.
‘Rocky Handsome’ was first scheduled to release on February 6 this year, but since John’s ‘Welcome Back’ was previously scheduled to release on May 29, the makers decided to postpone the film to 2nd October. Now that the sequel to ‘Welcome’ is releasing on 4th September, the release date of ‘Rocky Handsome’ has been changed again.
There were rumours that it may release on 22nd October along with Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Shaandaar’, but the producer of the film is in no hurry to release it.
When contacted, Sunir Khetrapal, the producer of ‘Rocky Handsome’, said “Rocky Handsome is not releasing in October or November. We will announce the new date when it is confirmed.”
Rocky Handsome is said to be an action-thriller with plenty of never-before-seen action sequences. The Nishikant Kamat directed film is the official remake of Korean film ‘The Man From Nowhere’. The film’s story revolves around a man who sets out to take vengeance against a drug mafia after they take away an eight-year old girl, with whom he shares a special bond.
Confirmation then, Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bling will get a solo release on Gandhi Jayanti.

This is a very good news for Akki fans . John and Akshay are Best friends and it is great to see that Rocky Handsome has been postponed . I think RH will release in 2016 . The reason why RH is postponed because WB is releasing in September . It can also release in December but Wazir, BM and Dilwale are already scheduled to release in December . I am very much excited for this movie after watching Drishyam . Nishikant Kamat is the director of RH who has directed Mumbai Meri Jaan, Force and Drishyam . John said in an interview that RH is his Best movie . According to me Madras Cafe is the Best movie of John Abraham till date . If this is true then it will be a brilliant movie and also do huge business .

Now this is a golden opportunity..as soon as welcome back was announced for a September release I knew that rocky handsome will not release on 2nd October.. And here comes the confirmation. Brothers and singh is bling both are getting national holiday releases and Akshay Kumar has an opportunity of a lifetime to give two solid openers..getting 3 national holiday releases in one single calendar year is also a pool of opportunity to get back to the top league where he belonged during 2007-08..I seriously hope this time Akshay Kumar delivers..All the best
