- Highest Second Weekend 2016: Airlift 19.26 crore

All 2016 records won’t just be surpassed, but will be decimated by Sultan. It could double the previous best. Sultan could also become the highest Hindi grosser of 2016 in 5 days or less if the film finds appreciation. Even with average word-of-mouth, it’s a foregone conclusion that the Salman Khan film will race past Airlift.
The targets that can do justice to Salman’s stardom will be those at all-time levels. As far as opening records are concerned, Happy New Year will be the film to beat. When it comes to lifetime, if the word-of-mouth is strong, comparisons will immediately begin with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK. If the film gets a mixed response, we could be looking at Chennai Express and Kick. If the film turns out to be very poorly made, then Bodyguard and Dabangg 2 will be more realistic comparisons.

Sultan has generated good buzz since the trailer has released but according to me the buzz of Sultan is not high as ETT and Kick . I am not comparing BB and PRDP because Sultan has more buzz than both these movies . Maybe I am wrong but this is just what I feel . If Eid falls on 6th than HNY opening record could be in danger but on 7th than no chance . Sultan can break the opening weekend and first week records of HNY and D3 respectively . According to calendar Eid is on 7th in India but still there is chance of Eid on 6th because it depends upon the sighting of moon . The makers of Sultan will have a 5 day weekend which means they are focusing on the bigger picture to break lifetime collections and not just opening day records . Sultan has a huge advantage of Eid and solo release and the trade as well fans want to see most of the records being shattered . The advance booking begins tomorrow which will give a good idea about the opening day collections . I am not sure whether I will watch Sultan or not but expecting huge traffic on Indicine in the next 3 days before Sultan . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

?FACT ? There is no need to be GOOD FILM to cross 200 Cr or 300 Cr when a Film is releasing on EDX holidays because EDX is like 7 Khoon Maaf. To cross margin like 500 Cr, needs something extraordinary even on EDX holidays.
I post several times that why the huge difference bw HNY producer fig (44.97) of first day and trade fig (40 cr) .indicine avoid so many times to ans this question..what do other guys thing plz comment.. I guess producer told wrong fig to get hype for movie like HNY which was a crap
