Nandana Sen is daring enough to accept the role that Madhuri Dixit refused, as the role demanded semi-nude scenes. The movie is titled ?Rang Rasiya? and Randeep Hooda will play the lead role, painter Raja Ravi Varma.
Ketan Mehta is at Cannes and the maverick filmmaker has finally declared his long pending project on the life of the controversial painter Raja Ravi Varma.
Randeep Hooda has been signed to play Raja Ravi Verma in the movie titled ?Rang Rasiya?. Ravi will play a painter, who creates controversy in the 18th Century by painting nude women. Nandana Sen will play the character of ?Sugunabai? a sensuous woman, who posed nude for Varma and he eventually fell in love with her.
Earlier, Shaji Karun was planning to make a movie on the same theme with Ajay Devgan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead but, the movie got shelved as Madz refused to do any semi-nude scenes.
