After two disasters Saawariya and Guzaarish, acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali returns with Ram Leela. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Richa Chadda.
Initially, Bhansali was keen on casting Kareena Kapoor as the female lead, but due to date hassles, Kareena opted out and Deepika was signed for the role.
Ram Leela is reportedly based on Shakespeare’s classic love story ‘Romeo and Juliet’. The tagline of the film, written in Hindi read Goliyon Ki Raasleela.. Ram Leela.

The poster is looking very promising! Traditional and Sanjay leela Bhansali’s magical touch. Hope the film works and SLB returns to his good times.
@Pratik: hahaha so funny bro .. cant stop laughing..
based on Romeo and juliet!!!
deepika is looking like juliet in the poster..
but look at that ranveer!
looking like a vilan:-):-)
movie going to be flopped! Best director with third class casting.
Dear Sanjay bhai, stop experimenting with new actors… just remember your old days when you were famous! ask SRK, SK , Aamir Khan, Amitabh for your movies.
Ranveer disappoint us in thiz movie, take my words,
Hope SLB avoids being self-indulgent atleast this time as it took away the sheen from his earlier works – Saawariya & Guzaarish as well..!!!
Don’t waste money on decoration etc :P waste money on castings ;) you know what I mean? :P
u all can’t judge the film only after the release.. I heard, long time ago, that SLB wants to do a Romeo and Juliette film and wanted to cast Aishwariya Rai.. but Aishwariya is too old for this role.. Deepika is ok but she’s no good for romantic films.. let’s wait and see.. I may change my opinion and find her good in this role.. all depends on the script and the performance.
