After two box office duds in Saawariya and the critically acclaimed Guzaarish, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of successful films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas, returns with Ram Leela an epic romantic tale starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
The music of the film is a hit, the response to the theatrical trailer and other song promos have generally varied from good to excellent.
The other reason why Ram Leela is expected to do well is because of Deepika Padukone’s presence. The actress is in the form of her life. Her three releases so far this year have all been super-successful. Race 2 (HIT), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Blockbuster) and Chennai Express (All Time Blockbuster). Last year, Cocktail was a massive hit with the multiplex audience too.
Ram Leela will be her last Hindi release of 2013. For those unaware, Deepika has a Tamil release Kochadaiyaan with superstar Rajinikanth.
Expectations are obviously high, but Ram Leela is likely to rely on word-of-mouth publicity to carry it through to safety as the costs of the film are high.
Response to advance booking has been good in parts of the country and the film is expected to open well at the box office today.

have full trust on Bhansali. even deepika’s in great form but Ranveer is the one because whom i am worried. wish he supports well in the movie.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a over-rated director, he makes his actors over-act. only his two good films are black and kamoshi.
Krrish will affect its business in 1st week and GTGM and SSTG will affect its business in 2nd week.

I think Ram Leela will definitely be a hit film if not superhit; it’s already catching so many people’s attention!
It has received mostly positive reviews from the critics. There’s no doubt that Deepika is the biggest attraction in this film. 30 crore weekend is on the cards due to high promotions, response from the trailer/songs/promos. Then as mentioned above, it will rely of word-of-mouth publicity to sustain throughout the weekdays.

Well this movie is well-recieved by critics so we can hope it does wonders at boxoffice but it think its really tough to collect 100 crore as again two films will be releasing on next week and also krish who damage its collection may be little bit.

just finished watching dis movie. awesome movie guys .deepika is just stunning. ranveer is just ok. please don’t miss it.
Best performace of his career by Ranveer Singh. Deepika’s performance can be placed next to her performance in Cocktail.
SLB’s screenplay & pre-climax sequences remind us of Devdas.
This will be a break through movie in Ranveer’s career.
An opening of around 11 crores is on the cards.

obviously people who have seen have entirely disliked the film from outrageous outfits acting and sets songs everything is bad… no one wants to see the lead pair get so close so intimately so early.. immensely unfathomable and distasteful… people claiming to have liked the film have not seen the film..they are just plugging the film ..the indicine way….

I was almost certain this would be a good movie. Well, I was thoroughly disappointed. Yes, Deepika acted well, and she looks beautiful as usual, but apart from that, the storyline is thin, the movie goes nowhere, and every time you think it will pick up, it doesn’t.
Visually, it’s beautiful, as are all Bhansali films, but as far as I remember, the only good things about this movie are Deepika’s acting and the song at the end of the movie when the credits were running.
