Ram Leela has sustained well in the Mumbai circuit, but all the other territories have steadily dropped during the weekdays. The film has collected around Rs 79.5 crore (net) in its first week at the domestic box office.
With Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Singh Saab The Great releasing tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how well Ram Leela sustains at the box office. The film should easily cross the 100 crore mark in Week 2, but looking at the drops it should finish under Rs 120 crore.
In the overseas markets, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film has collected around Rs 32-33 crore (gross), taking the worldwide total to more than Rs 112 crore.

Deepika and Sonam are at the top because they had the biggest hits and most critical acclaim. I didn’t include Kareena & Priyanka because as much as I love them, they didn’t do anything special this year. And Katrina hasn’t had any release so far, so can’t include her, but it’s pretty obvious she’ll be amongst the top 5 for sure after Dhoom 3. And I put Kangana & Parineeti ahead of Sonakshi even though her performance was better, because Krrish 3 and SDR were hits at the box office. Jacqueline and Shraddha also did well this year. Unfortunately MKBKM was a flop, but Anushka will be back with a bang next year.

@haroonn1986: – It’s Ram-Leela which got better response than Krrish 3 in the overseas due to some obvious reasons. They watch multiple superhero movies with better technique every year, so Krrish 3 did reasonably well in overseas with its genre. Replacing Priyanka with Deepika wouldn’t have made much difference in Krrish 3.
That is utter gibberish. With the plethora of Superhero movies and special affects in Hollywood a movie like Krissh 3 stands no chance. It is amazing that it has even collected $2.3 million in the US. The domestic collections have been unprecedented and record breaking (and that is a fact not a hypotheses is as posted by many including the despicable BOI).
Personally special effects aside I found Krissh3 to as entertaining as any IronMan movies. On the contrary Chennai Express was nauseating and unbearable.
