Tamil superstar Rajinkanth’s next film ‘Kabali’, the shooting of which began a couple of weeks ago, is likely to release during the Tamil New Year period in April 2016.
Interestingly, the Tamil New Year falls on April 14 2016, which also happens to be the weekend when Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan releases in theatres.
“The exact release date is not yet locked, but the plan is to release the film during the Tamil New Year week in April. The shooting will be wrapped up by January next year and the next two months will be spent on post-production work” a source close to ‘Kabali’ said.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith, ‘Kabali’ also stars Radhika Apte, Dinesh, Dhanshikaa and Kalaiarasan. Rajinikanth will be seen essaying the role of a gangster, which is rumoured to be based on the life of a don.
On the other hand, Maneesh Sharma’s FAN will be one of the most keenly-awaited films for the Hindi audience. With state-of-the-art VFX, the film will see Shahrukh playing a double role of both the superstar and his fan.
If it does happen, it’ll be an interesting clash between two good friends and industry legends. Rajnikanth made a special appearance in SRK’s Ra One, while SRK paid a tribute to Rajni through his song ‘Lungi Dance’ in his 2013 blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’.

Both belongs to different markets and also FAN is non holiday release so there would not be any problem for both movies.

The other become superstar after more than dozen of movies before going back to south. That’s past. Present very important. Present Rajni sir will give a higher collection.
