Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has rubbished baseless rumours of his next directorial ‘Sanjay Dutt Biopic’ releasing during the Eid weekend next year.
The film was previously announced for theatrical release in March 2018, but after the ‘Tubelight’ debacle last week, media-created reports started doing the rounds that Vidhu Vinod Chopra is now targeting the Eid weekend.
In a statement, Hirani said “All these are baseless rumours. The film will release as per schedule in March 2018.”
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. It also has Paresh Rawal (Sunil Dutt), Manisha Koirala (Nargis), Dia Mirza (Manyata Dutt), Sonam Kapoor (Tina Munim), Karishma Tanna (Madhuri Dixit) and Anushka Sharma.
The untitled Dutt biopic is scheduled to release in theatres on March 30.
Evn i am salman fan but salman is doing movie with remo next eid. Remo is nt bad director. He is worse. His movies r pathetic, humar of 12 yr olds n disjointed uneven scenes throught movie.
So salman is lucky raju hirani is nt coming on next eid. Nt happy wth wat salman is doing lk movie with remo,ali jafar and then dabbang 3 wth prabhudeva.

And even Kids know.. Raju Hirnai Knows, (hence he didn’t postpone Sanajy Biopic..) that Eid is made by Salman Khan and He deserve it. Whether he flops or hits his movies coz he already gave 6 contionous Blockbusters on Eid which is more than Total Blockbusters of Your Actor.
BTW, if u r srk fan – your media created Star, Even failed many times to make his films BBs on Festivals like Xmas, Diwali (Eid pe ane ka himmat hi nahi).
if u r Aamir fan then, even your Dangal would have failed to cross collection and footfalls of Sultan without Xmas, 3 open weeks hiked ticket price etc…. (If u talk abt China, then Send Aamir to there like srk to Pluto)

X-mas is long. In 2012, d2 did 158cr during an ind-pak series on India soil. Otherwise d2 with Salman would do 170cr+ in 2012 time.
A film like wanted, dabangg, sultan, bajrangi bhaijaan, tiger zinda hai will be superhit in normal weekend. This is proved by bahubali2 as well as tubelight.

Even without clash none actor will give a recordless flop. I think those who are avoiding clash with him are either idiots with no IQ or either too coward unnecessarily that they are overestimating him despite the fact that he is a loser even on big festivals with solo release. Eid is not his property. Everyone have right to release their film whenever they want. Even if his movies get solo release i want them to underperform like fusslight only then somebody will get into sense and clash with him. He doesn’t deserve solo release. Somebody should clash with him on this Christmas. Big festivals shouldn’t he ruined by crap films of salman anymore. He is only star. Not superstar forget megastar.
