Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U certificate. The board requested no changes and the film was passed without any cuts.
The makers of the film have also confirmed the final release date – July 22.
‘Kabali’ will also be released in Telugu and Hindi. The Pa Ranjith directed film also stars Radhika Apte, Kishore, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa and Taiwanese actor Winston Chao.
The pre-release buzz for the film is said to be outstanding, with huge interest for the film even in countries like Australia. Trade sources say, the advance booking for Kabali in Australia is beyond outstanding and most of the tickets have already been sold in advance.
‘Kabali’ will also be dubbed in Malay and released in Malaysia on July 29. Rajnikanth has a huge fan-following in countries like Malaysia and Japan.

Kabali has generated massive buzz and it will rock the box office in TN . Madaari is also releasing on 22nd but will not hamper Kabali at all . I am excited to see what kind of response Kabali gets in Hindi Version . Lingaa and Kochadaiyaan both have been massive underperformers and Kabali holds importance for Rajni Sir’s future . Robot 2.0 will be a Box Office Monster especially in Southern States . But Robot is a massive franchise+ Shankar+ Expensive Budget+Never seen before VFX+ Akshay Kumar . But Kabali will only work on Rajni Sir’s stardom and content in the long run . Kabali will appeal to all sections of the audience from kids, adults, married couples and older citizens . U Certificate will give a huge boost to Kabali . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Prashant abhishek …Rajni doesn’t have to prove anything more nor he will run away from anyone…Kabali was delayed due to technical reasons not because of clashing with Sultan…otherwise why the certification is done only now if the film was completed long back? Moreover 90% of Kabali’s domestic collection would have been from South and Sultan wouldn’t have made any difference to that in South even if both films clashed.
