If industry sources are to be believed, superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker S. Shankar are most likely to team up for the third time in a yet-untitled Tamil project, which is currently in discussion phase.
The makers of recent Tamil blockbuster “Kaththi” are expected to support the project financially.
“It is not known whether Rajinikanth and Shankar are teaming up for ‘Enthiran 2’, but they are likely to come together for a project soon. Lyca, the producers of ‘Kaththi’ will produce this project,” a source told IANS.
Apparently, Shankar had approached actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan to be part of the project as well.
“Kamal sir was approached but he turned down the offer for unknown reasons. He was even narrated the story,” the source said.
Shankar now plans to rope in actor Vikram instead.
Rajinikanth and Shankar had previously worked in two blockbusters, “Sivaji” and “Enthiran”.

Robot 2 the movie which SRK couldn’t do it as Shankar didn’t agree to make it under RCE as he wanted Hollywood’s VFX even the name was bought by SRK/RCE later shankar requested SRK to give him the ‘robot’ title and SRK agreed.. wish they would have done robot 1 together though excited for robot 2.

best director of India with most popular star of the earth coming together again. kochadaiyaan an lingaa failed because these directors couldn’t match the standard created by Shankar’s robot and shivaji.
rajni wasted 4 years after robot. due to which surya(singham) and ajith(mankatha arrambam) became more popular. but the most beneficial was VIJAY whose films thupakki kaththi jilla became blockbusters.
even the disaster film of rajnikanth is highest grossing Tamil film of 2014.
its time for him to make a comeback. if they make a film like robot it can become highest grossing film of India ever

Enthiran and Shivaji is my most favorite film of Rajni starter so will be waiting for their reunion again.Shankar is brilliant director his other films like Nayak starring Anil kapoor and Aparichit starring Vikram were also brilliant films.
Shivaji was crap,robot was mahacraps.now people should have to bear another torture.pity of south peoples,because their extent is up to craps directors like Shankar.he should quit direction after the horrible direction of I.suicidal and horrible acting has been showing in his films from a long time ago when there was a crapiest torture named aparichit released,till from that.time I completely understood the extent of thinking/making films of this director.though whole south has this kind of super craps among which it should be a special one.another such horrible director named rajamoulii is there in south ,that’s why south industry will never grow up.
