Ragini MMS opened to a good, but slow start at the box office on Friday. But the collections soon picked from the afternoon and evening shows. The late night shows at several multiplexes in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi were almost full.
The low cost of production (newcomers, no stars) and excellent promotion, will ensure that the film will recover almost all of its investment through its theatrical business in its first week itself.
When we spoke to Balaji, they were quite thrilled at the box office opening of Ragini MMS. According to them, the film has surpassed the opening collections of their other low-budget film Love Sex Aur Dhokha and they expect Ragini to collect around Rs 7 crores for the weekend.
Also Ragini MMS has performed the best amongst the other releases this week – Shargird, Love You Mr Kalakaar and Stanley Ka Dabba. Plenty of reasons to celebrate for Ekta, not much for her brother Tusshar though!
