Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees was steady on its 3rd day, with business dropping by around 30-35% from its first day (Wednesday) at the box office. The film has crossed the 50 crore mark in 3 days and when the final collections come in, it should get close to 60 crore.
The first extended weekend (5 days) of Raees should be in the 90 crore range and the film will become the first 100 crore grosser of the year by the end of its first week.
There are 13 more days to go before the release of Jolly LLB 2, giving Raees enough time to target the 150 crore mark at the domestic box office.
The other release of the week, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, has shown a solid trend too. The drop in business from Friday is around 5%. From the 23 theatres that we tracked, 9 theatres bettered Wednesday collections, while the rest were a little below.
The fate of Kaabil now depends on how it performs over the next three days. The growth on Saturday and Sunday, followed by the level of business on Monday will decide whether or not the film can recover costs.
Sultan’s Friday collections- around 32cr.
Raees+Kaabil’s Friday collections- around 22cr.

Second howz kaabil having better holds when reportedly its response is not that good and the collection shows it.
@Dammm, we stick to official figures for all films here and if they are to be questioned, it has to be questioned for every film, not as per convenience. Trade figures can be manipulated too. It’s impossible for anyone to track single-screen business, except the producer / distributor.
Secondly, about the better holds of Kaabil. The growth from Wednesday to Thursday was 80%. The drop on Friday is also good when compared to opening day which was a working day. Saturday and Sunday will decide.

i think the friday collection will be 9.5- 10cr for kaabil which is not really bad considering the number of screens it has.
i am sure it will collect 16-17cr on saturday and 17-19cr on sunday. don’t worry guys

What are the sources and medium does BOI use to gather data, and how can they give “accurate data” at 11:30 on same day? After all Roshans have to pay taxes why would they inflate thr collection do u think they love to pay tax muft ka?? ??

I didn’t understand what did you mean by it. Kaabil’s budget is 35Cr + 15Cr on P&A, total 50Cr. It’s extended 1st weekend collection should be around 60-65Cr, and extended 1st week around 85-90Cr.
just watched kabil..this movie is certainly not hritiks careers best movie at all..this movie didnt deserve 4 star at least for me.
Raees 11.5cr kaabil 8.25cr, as i said Raees will run out of steam its a very weak film which working on hype and Srk megar stardom.

Indicine ur take on Boi’s conspiracy against kaabil since the very first day they eager to declare kaabil a flop and each and every day i mean they themselves think the collection s to be 16 crs and tamil version at around 50-60 lacs on thursay and the very next morning they remove that note and make them 50-60lacs in total for 2 days and also reduce the actual collection from its estimates..i know you won’t be replying but i am really hating Boi now.Can you just give us some idea about whats going on are they paid from team raees.

The way both films are trending, its look like none of them having big appreciation. Both Raees and Kaabil going to neck on neck as far as appreciation is concerned. Though first time the gap between two films is less.
I have been following this site from 4 years. Never seen the kind of uneven reporting earlier. When I started to follow this, It was preety neutral, sometime more favour to srk but that is practical as srk related article create maximum buzz on this site. But they are becoming partial now a days. They need to change their views specially when it comes to clashes while reporting, estimate about movies.
Biasness related to Aamir was always there. But the way they try to balance from being targeted for biasness from certain fanbases they get overboard with articles or somehow over reporting. We have seen the same when Dilwale clashed with BM, Shivvay with Adhm And now Raees & Kaabil. The Dangal LBO on first day on twitter, the Kaabil vs Raees hold article today just a mere example of overexcitement & over reporting. Think about this team Indicine. Its my honest opinion, the fun of unbiased article is missing now a days.
@Dammm, you forgot to ask how did HNY manage to do 45Cr in 2014 when it’s very difficult for any film in 2017 to achieve such feat. Also, the difference of 20Cr, 30Cr, 20Cr for JTHJ, HNY, Dilwale respectively in producers & BOI’s figure. Why such double standards?

box office india is liar site…let producer give their figure bcoz more fig means more profit means they have to pay more tax..to koi b tax bchana chega …so they will try to give less fig as possible to save tax …collection cannot b predicted as any sources will not have exact fig…only producer knows budget and collection… if govt make system only then exact figure can b tracked
@indicine: why do you say that kaabil has to depend on weekend business to recover cost? Its budget is 50 crores, including other factors if it collects more than 90 crores it should be clean hit. Kaabil has already collected 35+ crores, in next 6 days it will collect easily another 50 crores looking at current trends. Second weekend should take its figure to 120+ easily. It is definately a hit already and depending on Monday to Thursday collections it will decide if it will go to be super hit or not.
