The release of Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 has be delayed once again, as the sequel which was initially scheduled to release late this year, has been postponed to January 25th 2013.
Race 2 will now release during the republic day weekend, much like Agneepath earlier this year. The highly-anticipated film stars Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.
Says producer Ramesh Taurani ”We shot for the second schedule of the film from 23rd January to 24th Februaty. It took off smoothly and the starcast has been accommodating throughout. We are very excited and hope to make Race 2 bigger and better than the original.’

frankly speaking Race is more remembered for its slick presentation and its twist and turns. if anybody deserved thumbs up for the performance than it is Akshay Khanna who has got the meatiest role in the film. but like Ajay Devgan in OUTIM Akshay character also died at the climax of the movie hence Saif got the chance to carry on with its franchise but I have got soem feelings like its predecessor even in this 1 antagonist will come out with all the cake and accolades and in that case John Abraham will be successor of Khanna & Saif like in the original will suffer due 2 smaller and less powerful role compared to the villian.
