One of the rare films, where Katrina Kaif’s performance was critically acclaimed was the 2010 blockbuster ‘Raajneeti’. Now, director Prakash Jha has approached the actress to play a major part in the sequel too.
Talking about Raajneeti 2, Katrina says, the script is brilliant and a work of genius “There are very few scripts that are genuinely entertaining. ‘Raajneeti’ is a script which has been worked on for years. I did hear the idea, I think it’s a genius and brilliant idea. I really hope everything falls into place. The only thing is most of the characters have been killed in the first part”
Katrina also revealed that Prakash Jha is currently working on another film (with Amitabh Bachchan), but Raajneeti 2 is very much on.
“It is genuinely a good idea. I find it exciting and I really like the character. Right now, he (Prakash Jha) is working on another film called ‘Satyagraha’ with Amitji, but I would love to work with him again.”
“We had many discussions on the scripts. He has told me the basic story of the film, but not the entire script, so we have time for that” she said.
The first film was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2010 and featured Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah.

Raajneeti survived at box office and also critically due to talented actors like ajay, ranbir, nana, manoj in it. Not because of Katrina..I dont think sequel will work without these stars in it..

@Aryan, too early to say. Prakash Jha will be working on his film with Amitabh Bachchan next. After the release of that, he will begin casting for Rajneeti 2.
