The makers of ‘Raabta’ have postponed the release of their film by 4 months, averting the box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 on 10th February next year.
Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the lead, ‘Raabta’ will now release in theatres on 9th June 2017.
The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan, marks the directorial debut of Vijan, who has previously produced films like ‘Cocktail’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Badlapur’ just to name a few.
Jolly LLB 2 now gets a solo release, two weeks after the biggies ‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’ on 26 January next year.

Good that they have postponed. June is a good period for release but the only concern is that it releases just a week after Toilet. If TEPK turns out to be a very big film with government support, it may dent Raabta’s collections. Let’s see.
On the other hand, Jolly LLB 2 is set to dominate the month of February. Highest February grosser so far is Gunday with 78 cr. That should be a cakewalk for JLLB 2. There won’t usually be big releases in February, atleast not from big stars so Jolly LLB 2 can hold it’s record for long enough.
