Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has won the Favourite Actress in a New TV series award at the People’s Choice Awards 2016, for her lead role in American TV thriller series ‘Quantico’.
Priyanka plays the role of an FBI agent named Alex Parish in the show. She was competing against actresses like Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Marcia Gay Harden in the ‘Favourite Actress in a New TV series’ category.
Hollywood actor Vin Diesel presented her the award on Wednesday evening.
Priyanka is said to be the first South Asian actress to win a People’s Choice award.
Currently in its 42nd edition, People’s Choice Awards recognises the people and the work of popular culture, where votes are given by the general public.
After winning the award, Priyanka took to Twitter to thank all for supporting her in her debut TV series.
“I am so fortunate! Thank you to everyone who voted for me at the PCAs! My #PCManiacs – I am nothing without you! Big love” she tweeted.

Couldn’t go past the 2nd episode. Seen over 50 TV shows but this one takes the cake for being the crappiest.

I found the show to be pretty average after first few episodes…….PC looked great though and was more convincing in her role than most of the others….

I dont think priyanka suits the role of such high profile series. Her acting skills sux. She is just horrible. They should have casted kangana or deepika instead. They would suit much better than this overrated actress .
Honestly fringe and The blacklist are much better shows than Quantico.
I watched fringe. It’s great show. A must watch for all FBI and science fiction genre fans.
