The television premiere of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has set the record for the most Hindi movie of all-time. The new system that tracks data and calls it TVTs instead of TRPs, is said to be more accurate as its sample size is more than 20000 homes.
Aired on Star Gold on Valentine’s Day (14th February), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has garnered viewership of 2,51,19,000 making it the highest, ahead of Bajrangi Bhaijaan which recorded 2,37,45,000 impressions.
PRDP is around 5% more than Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was the previous best. The Kabir Khan directed film continues to be hugely popular on television, even though it has now been aired several times.

With two back-to-back television blockbusters, Salman is possibly the biggest draw on TV today. His tie-up with Star Gold has also helped the channel become the most watched Hindi Movie channel on television today. The viewership of Star Gold is more than Zee Cinema and Movies OK combined!

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has also received better ratings than most other television shows with a dedicated fan following. Naagin received 20284 ratings, as compared to PRDP’s 25119.

It was a family movie , that is why it gained high TRP . HAHK and HSSH are still popular on TV . After all you cant expect delhi belly or grand masti to be watched by typical Indian family .
PRDP is not a dull movie and it is proved again, it’s a family movie and it’s target audience is family not youth and family audience loved this movie, those who have doubt go and check the WOM of PRDP….and not only family but those youth who have watched this movie with family loved it…Those who don’t like this movie or calling it crap, for them I can only say that they don’t know the Family Value…..I am not saying that it’s a masterpiece, definitely it’s not like MPK or HAHK but it’s a nice movie which teach us family values….I am a family man too and I totally loved this movie..

Firstly I said and now Also i said that PRDP is one of the best work of sooraj ji… screenplay was somewhat weak thats because it was made on a larger scale plus sooraj ji directs PRDP after a gap of 9yrs, that’s the point where audience criticized the Film and Starcaste(except Salman, Deepak) not able to do justice with their respective characters… Rajshree has their own fan following… they had two biggest Blockbusters of respective 80s and 90s decade (MPK, HAHK) still they don’t need publicity to remain in limelight bcoz their movies are connected with every genre of audience unlike some limelight hungry Paanwale Lungiya Le Jayenge (YRF) which was just Highest grosser of 95 ?
