An official press statement was released today with the final star cast and crew of Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. We break the news down into important points
- Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will star Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal
- Music will be composed by Himesh Reshammiya who says “Sooraj-ji’s film has written a beautiful script. It’s going to be one of the biggest films next year and Salman-Sooraj combination will take it to another level. The film is exactly in the zone that the Barjatyas are famous for. The kind of traditional values shown in the film is very rare in today’s films but Sooraj-ji has incorporated it very beautifully and also logically. Every youngster will connect with the message of the film.”
- The lyrics of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will be written by Irshad Kamil – credited for lyrics in films like Aashiqui 2, Jab We Met, Raanjhanaa just to name a few.
- Fox Star Studios have tied up with Rajshri Productions, which will help the film release in many more countries – we expect it to get the widest international release ever.
- Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will release in theatres on November 11th 2015 – giving it an extended 5 day weekend.
- The film will go on floors in the first half of June.

Its looking huge already. Sooraj is one of the best when it comes to family drama. The name sounds a bot old fashioned, but it can work if promoted well.

As Himesh Reshammiya says the Sooraj’s script may be beautiful. But I’m afraid that Himesh will ruin music. Everything about the movie so far sound good except Arrogant Sonam and Himesh.
PRDP will surely be an All Time Blockbuster. with FOX Studios, I’m pretty sure that the movie will get best/widest release + A family film like PRDP is perfect for Diwali festival. Prem is back! also quite happy to see a talented supporting cast & not the usual Salman family/friends. PRDP & Kabir Khan’s next with Salman will make sure that even 2015 is Salman’s year! haters, start burning LOL ;)

sooraj type of films doesn’t work out now. It will be just average.
we bhai fans are heavily addicted to south remakes, we can’t digest anything original. it will cause indigestion and acidity for us. there has to be something copied from somewhere atleast for us to enjoy it.
Looks like ‘PRDP’ will be again a memorable family entertainer like ‘HAHK’.
PRDP is looking interesting day by day, i wish this will be a great family movie in the series of Mpk,hahk,hssh and its success will even bigger than HAHK, So a best of luck to team PRDP. Salman looking great in his usual look.
@Pravin: Even Vivah starring Shahid Kapoor was a blockbuster. This is the only blockbuster of Shahid in his entire career. As far as I remember Shahid doesn’t even have a superhit movie. Guess why Vivah was a blockbuster…. mmmm I guess Sooraj’s type of movie did work.

Not much of a Salman fan because of the kind of movies he made the last few years. But very happy he’s trying something different now. I sincerely hope PRDP does well. All the best to Salman and Sooraj. I hope the era of family dramas are revived with this film. Will definitely watch it first day first show.

@sanjeev11,of course VIVAH is the blockbuster due to sooraj with out him your 2nd most flop giving actor bhai would not had able to give even a blockbuster in 90’s,who exactly delivered a bb after 11 year with partner with Govinda,on that basis according to @sachin11,bhai is a decade bb star who has no existence in early 2000.
although sooraj type movie is very boring but I liked VIVAH very much as one of my favourite Shahid is there.but I think this film will not work as sallu looks so old,if he play the father role of sonam may it works.also I think loser ratan dhan payo has very less chance to be a superhit,another bhojpuri movie gonna screw the mind of people.
