@sunny who do you think you are to decide what kind of a movie should Salman do, if you don’t like it lump it and go somewhere else. No one is truly interested in what you like or don’t that’s your opinion but don’t try to tell others what to do because you are not an expert.
To all who are chanting.Melodious real traditional mucis etc ,Man even 9os songs with better compositions are used to be hit.Even at that time every songs wasnt used to be hit just because they were making traditional song.But these songs are very badly composed.HR failed big time.He has lost his charm after Qarz and Ap ka suroor time(with exception of 1,2 songs).Music isnt fault of salman khan ,I think its the fault of Sooraj Barjatya who took HR for this album.He should have taken with director who had experience of 90s era music.Although Jatin-Latin both failed independly in this generation music but they have good grip on 90s music so one of them was better choice to recreate a traditional family music.By naming this traditional you can excuse for bad composition
I loved the songs most of them. Salman will rock. Waiting for new year. I am sure it will break all opening records and opening will be more than 45 Cr.
Finally, I got some time to listen to the album. My first reaction is that it is as expected. A film of this genre usually comes with situational songs which takes a while to grow on you. Songs are soft as you’d expect and quite earthy in some cases (Aaj unse milna hai). Shaan has sung it beautifully and the lyricist has used words like Gujiya and Mathri. Typical rashri for you.
Good to see Vineet Singh singing two songs. Vineet, Anwesha, Aishwarya, Sharib, Irfan are all products of Saregamapa. Himesh is playing a true mentor to these young talents. Well done!
Overall, I am sure of two things:
1- None of these songs will make it to the chartbusters (because those are filled with rap and hip hop these days). YoYo stabbing of Dheere Dheere is ruling the rosters now.
2- these songs will work great with the movie and will gain more popularity after the movie releases.

This is not a one time listen Album. The more you listen the more it will grow on you. However Himesh could have done better than this. I liked 4 songs out of this album:

I dont think Suraj will have all the 9 songs in the movie run time. Overall a Good album but not one of the best.
