Filmmaker Prakash Jha will be directing the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster ‘Raajneeti’, which featured Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead.
Interestingly, the inspiration for the story will be the current socio-political scenario in the country.
“I am working on ‘Raajneeti’ sequel. It is still nascent, but it will happen. There has to be a good time to release. It has not been that long anyway. The film released in 2010. I see there are many exciting changes in our political scenario right now. When the story matures, then we will make it” Jha said.
Jha’s next film is ‘Jai Gangaajal’ (Gangaajal 2) which features Priyanka Chopra in the lead. The first film released in 2003 and did fairly well at the box office.

@xzone honestly bro be candid Ranbir himself confessed that Ajay and Khans he takes them as his mentors so obviously even though his role was more elaborated you can’t compare Ajay and Rabbit in a movie and Ranbir doing lead role. Even movies Ajay did with Salman Aamir they had balanced role ,with Akshay what do you expect with saif what do you expect with Suniel the same he will always be given more fulcrum in his character acting with them. Give Ranbir some time I am sure he will blossam he has the qualities but lacks experience. When jthj and sos clashed I did not like it. I knew srk had more fans ,his called king even by me being his fan but something told me Ajay with good scripts good editing ,above average acting is arguably among the best actors of Bollywood history winning 2 National award at Ranbir age or younger tells you the character he is. I still rank Srk above him and okay Aamir . My dream cast I always tell my buddies is to see Srkw and Ajay in 1 movie. Critics fans would never mind that. I just feel they shd do a film together. Will it happen? Only time will tell but the day that happens and Aamir and Srk do a film together too from that date just expect pure mixture of brains and skills along with personalty presencebefore even expecting a blockbuster! Salman Aamir akki all did films with ajay hit movies srk own will be an icing on the cake.

Excited. Rajneeti was one of the best Political thriller in Bollywood. Ranbir had less but impactful role in it, Ajay and Arjun Rampal were Excellent and rest all actors were top notch even Kat was good !!!!!!!!!!
