Amitabh Bachchan’s PINK has collected nearly 36 crore in its first week at the box office, which is a fantastic total for a film that started with collections of just 4.32 crore.
The reports for this week’s releases like Banjo are mixed, which gives Pink a open week at multiplexes. The trend over the next couple of days will decide where Pink ends at. If the film holds to 3 crore level today and then shows growth like last Saturday, then it could add 14-15 crore in its second week – which would then give it a chance to cross the 60 crore mark.
While Pink has been garnering a hugely positive response for the social message that it delivers, the film hasn’t yet been declared tax free – like Neerja for example, which gained because of tax exemption in several states.

Raaz Reboot was hundred times better than this Pink. Also Pink isn’t a dark movie. Raaz Reboot is dark movie. Pink just got thriller genre so to gain momentum among audience that even be arts movie it is earning. This is wrong. Pink is a commercial movie. It seems to be dark but it isn’t. It is an entertaining movie with close to masala genre plots. That’s why it is earning well. Raaz Reboot isn’t earning well due to dull promos and songs. The movie is very well, but the jealous critics 100% has to give extremely negative reviews to a Vikram Bhatt movie. You guys are horribly wrong with your predictions. If it holds to 3 cr today then this weekend alone will be 14-15 and week 2 will go to 21-22. Even a 2.25-2.5 cr today will take it to 60+.

And jealous critic or not, anyone with half a brain will ridicule this stupid movie. Emraan is better than this and he should immediately start working on his script choices.
I watched PINK and i really enjoyed it a lot it is deserving movie to collect 100 crore + and PINK is a must watch movie.
Taapse and Kriti’s dialogues gave me goosebumps Amitabh Bachchan once again rocked with his performance.
I loved to give 4 * to this movie.

If MS Dhoni would not have been releasing next week then Pink would have crossed 70 crores.

One of the best movies this year. Gripping (from 1st minute), hard hitting, realistic with an important message. Brilliant direction, screenplay and performances by Amit sir, Tapsee and Kriti. Movies like this show Indian cinema can still produce great movies without extreme commercialization. Kudos to Anirudhha, Ritesh and Soojit.

Saw Pink in cinema yesterday.. as I expected.. a good film, good direction, good script, good performance by the cast and a good message to all the guys in this world.. so.. why not to present this film to the academy award? What I don’t understand is that I heard on this site that Aiswariya’s film entered the Oscar academy.. but how come any film would enter the oscar academy and the year is not ended yet and there’re still more films to come in the way?! anyone explains this point to me please?
