Pics of Shahrukh and Aamir!

Its true that business can unite two rivals. The ongoing battle of words between Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan was (temporarily) put on hold, as the two stars came together in support of the 50 – 50 revenue sharing policy between multiplex owners and film producers.

Aamir Khan said “All we are asking for is a fair and healthy share. All the members of the industry should benefit equally from the profits. It should be a partnership of equals”

“We are like a family but perhaps a part of the family is doing wrong” said SRK referring to the relationship the producers and multiplex share. While the multiplex owners have decided not to share the losses suffered due to a bad film, SRK clearly objecting their statement said “The multiplexes have no right to rate our creativity. It should be left to the audience to decide the fate of a film. We are the employees of the audience and not the multiplexes.

Other major Bollywood producers like Rakesh Roshan, Karan Johar, Yash Chopra, Ronnie Screwvala, Mukesh Bhatt too were present at the press conference.

  • must be aamir who went so shahrukh and apologised!!!!! srk you rock! love ya loadz shahrukh! aamir you suck!

  • It is a question of sharing money! It benefits them to stand together. Goes to show that MONEY RULES!

  • It’s not about money persay, it’s about being fair to the industry itself and to all the actors and actresses. Who really cares about who apologized to who, as long as they’re getting along that’s all that really matters. I love them both and I hope int he future they do a movie together…Love you bollywood, just get along and be fair. Keeponmaking movies for us, flop or not i love them all………

  • Oooooah!!! Aamir-SRK together again,..its really exciting!

I also support 50-50 policy coz tats only the way to shelter or survive in film industry n not Bollywood collapse like economic recession. I wish all the best for movie releases to be normal again…

  • This is really good news. The 2 leading Khans uniting for any good reason is a gain to the whole industry.

Anyways as SRK fan I wish all the best to him. Seems like he has recovered after shoulder surgery. No arm sling.

  • it has nothing to do with money. they both came together for a good cause. they had no choice on this matter but to come together.
if you watch them closely when they were standing side by side having thier photos taken, you will see they still have anamosity towards each other. they never look eye to eye. if one does, the other one turns away. when they were speaking, you could easily observe that each one was trying to outdo the other. when aamir khan came and sat next to shah rukh, neither of them looked at each other or greeted each other. in fact aamirs head was pointing downwards as he started sitting next to shah rukh !

there still is a lot of bad blood between the two. watch the whole thing closely on youtube, you will see they were just trying thier utter best to pretend they were getting along with each other !! observe thier body language and how each one did not allow the other to appear the better person. watch the expressions on thier faces closely. you will see they were in a lot of pain, or trying to hide thier anger towards each other. they were pretentious all the way through.

oh well. at least they tried to come together nevertheless. be it for a noble cause. its just a question of time though before the war erupts again. believe me, its just a question of time.
but for now at least, they can say to each other…….janmo ka saathi, hum saath saath hai……NOT ! – ( secretly)

hey MEELA, you didn’t let me know about who your top 5 bollywood actors are, and what your opinion is on mr amitabh bhachan, and your fav amitabh films if you have any……..

  • Hey Spiderman

Just got back from the long Easter weekend. Pls just bare with me for a bit – things have been so hectic around here. Will definetely get back 2 u on that one.

  • @ Spiderman – Hello’s – the answers u were seeking. My five most fav Bollywood actors in no particular order are: Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, SKR, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan (I love his voice)

I think Mr Bachan is a gentleman, a man of dignity. He acting is flawless –

I never really saw much of his movies – but I can remember people going on about the movie Silsila – I was to small back then to understand what the contorversy was all about. I must have seen it some 3 years ago and I enjoyed it. The other movie I remember seeing as a child was Andha Kanoon. For some reason this movie has stuck in my mind over the years. I think the song from there was one of the first hindi songs I learnt to sing….Rothe rothe hasna seeko….sorry about my spelling I don’t speak hindi that well.

Then in 1998 Hindi movies found its way back into many cinemas and homes out side of India – (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai livened up the Bollywood sceen again), then came movies like Mohabaatein – Which hold very fonds memories for me. Baghban made me sob like a little baby, Waqt and Ek Ajnabee showed what a diverse actor he is. Sarkar – I saw – On B for u – on new years eve in 2007. I would be lying to u if i told you I am a huge fan of his. I think he is a excellent actor, that no one will ever come close too even if they try.

I must admit these days I don’t have the patience to watch movie – unless it has fast car, action or comedy. I love a movie were I can have a good laugh. Over this weekend I bought the entire season of Prison Break and I actually ended up dreaming of these charaters…….on Good Friday I watched it for 12 hours straight…..I will never do that again, I feel totaly wrecked.

Anyway the IPL will be starting soon and I will be going for the one of the matches in Durban – 21.04.2009……..company tickets.

    Take care
