The cast and crew of Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film ‘Highway’ has reached the picturesque valleys of Kashmir. The final shooting schedule is currently under progress and the team has to trek almost 2-3 kms everyday to reach the shooting destination.
“This has been a very different Kashmir for us. We trailed with the Bakarwals who are nomadic shepherds and with them saw the high slopes and streams of upper Himalayan mountains. This is a splendour that we had to trek for hours each day to bring to film. The entire unit lost weight despite gorging on splendid Kashmiri food. There is so much that Kashmir has to offer, it is amazing. Yet you always feel you have only scratched the surface.” director Imtiaz Ali said.
From the makers of films like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘Socha Na Tha’ comes yet another film that will be high on emotions. Highway has music by A R Rahman. The film releases in theatres on 13th December.
