Salman Khan might have declared the film a ‘Hit’ on his television reality show Bigg Boss, but Phata Poster Nikhla Hero was below the mark in its first weekend at the domestic box office.
Even though the film had decent growth in business on Saturday and Sunday, the opening day business was too low for the film to put respectable numbers over the weekend.
Phata Poster Nikhla Hero has been made on a budget of 40-45 crore (including P&A), and sold to distributors for a reasonably good price. Recovery will be difficult, unless the film remains steady over the weekdays. Monday will be crucial, if the drop in business is less than 35-40% from Friday, PPNH has a chance as there is no major release this weekend.

- Saturday – 6.53 crore (20% growth)
- Sunday – 7.75 crore (approx) (19% growth)
- 3 day Weekend Total – 19.69 crore
Salman is generous towards other co-actors, so he might have called it a hit. It was not told with seriousness.
So it is better than prev.days. .but decrease start after the weekends.it would be just hit or above average if it maintains the continuity. .

It will be a hit no major release this week. Film is good people can watch it and enjoy.
Its totally disappointing that cheap n vulgar kind of movie like Grand Masti ruling the Box Office but Family Entertainer wel made movie like PPNH is struggling at Box Office. Please support this movie. Shahid is realy talented.

After 6cr openning, pick up well sat n sun now i hope ppnh pass the monday test then sure shoot 50cr plus. Whatever the numbers shahid earned more fans after ppnh.
