In an official statement released to the media, Fox Star Studios announced the release date of Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang. The action entertainer is slated for worldwide release on May 1st 2014.
We think, the makers couldn’t have chosen a better date to release their film. Here’s why.
Holiday release: When you have two of the biggest superstars in the business Hrithik – Katrina in a commercial action film, and release it on a National holiday, except all opening records to be shattered. ‘Bang Bang’ will have a 4 day extended weekend, much like Agneepath last year.
Perfect gap between three Hrithik starrers: Krrish 3 releases on Nov 3 2013 and exactly a year later Karan Malhotra’s Shuddhi is scheduled to release during Diwali 2014 (October 23rd). ‘Bang Bang’ arrives bang in between, 6 months after Krrish 3 and 6 months prior to Shuddhi.
IPL Season: Very few big-budget films release during the IPL season and for good reason, as business for the evening shows on Saturday and Sunday tend to get affected. But since ‘Bang Bang’ releases a month into the IPL season, cricket fatigue would have begun to set in and the audience would be itching to watch a commercial entertainer.

P.S. It’s time for Hrithik fans to celebrate as the actor has 3 releases in a year (Nov 2013 – Oct 2014). The last time that happened was more than a decade ago in 2002!

@Jogindra, there is no question of being biased. Every tweet, every article we get criticised for being biased. Honestly, we’ve been covering every big film. A lot of articles on Chennai Express, OUATIM2, Mental have been published.

I always question why indicine is so biased towards hrithik. and 1st of may isn’t that great day to open a movie because these kind of action movies opens well at plexes and because of matches in the evening, it’s plexes gets hit. and say that i’m a hrithik hater just because i said something against this article.
Indicine, you are doing a great job,there are many sites in the internet who only publishes articles about only SRK/Salman’s or even Ranbir’s but I think you are fair to all & pls continue to do so.

I always wonder why hrithik didnt make movies after dhoom2,JA he had dissapoint his fans by making serious,intense movies like guzaarish,agneepath for 3 long hours though both agneepath is a hit but only becoz of Sanju baba and its hipe.He really need to look into movies scripts which are entertaining and in which ther can be hrithik dance moves.He has declined many movies of rajamouli and sankar twice who are tend tend to make BB and magadheer which is Tollywoods ATB only hrithik can do
He has a bad choice of movies and poor strategy.But hope these movies turn his table.

@ why these people criticize article its their job to publize and for ur kind info HR is most underrated.all articles print only srk ,salman.U salman fan cry when 1 article pritnts about HR or worried his movie gonna lose.Dnt forget hrithik only can make sal,srk run for their money by KNPH or dhoom.he opted out of commercial dnt know why but only becoz of that people have to watch these Ready,ek tha if not he makes them hopeless.

3 khans are on the top now but after a few years they will retire but hritik has more time. Last year barfi collected more than Agneepath and if this year YJHD, PPNH, Besharam and Rambo Rajkumar collect more than K3 or K3 becomes another RA1 then Hritik career is over.
Just 3 years Hrithik peaked (2000, 2003, 2006). Hro has just 1 film in 100cr club and no film has crossed 200cr worldwide till date. So plz dont give any predictions, K3 will be a mixture of RA1 and Kites.

@RomanceExpress WTF!! Agneepath did 121cr and Barfi 105cr as per BoxOfficeIndia.com . First get some facts right before putting things online. Barfi did more than Talash and JTHJ so Ranbir bigger than SRK and Aamir. LoL..Hrithik is in his own league don’t compare him and put him in your dumb ranking list.

Krrish 3, Bang-Bang and Shuddhi, all the three movies have already created huge buzz even a year before their release.
Krrish 3 is surely one of the biggest releases of all times and is expected to break almost each and every record follwed by Bang-Bang and Shuddhi.

Krrish3 will release in May 2014, Bang in Nov-dec 2014, Shuddhi and Paani cannot say, may be in 2015 or 2016.
They r Hrithik’s movies…takes hell lot of time like Aamir and to give a huge flop like Kites and Talaash.
Meanwhile RANBIR will give 4-5 blockbusters.
