People can’t achieve in three lifetimes what Sania did at 29: Salman Khan

People don’t achieve even in three lifetimes what Sania Mirza has achieved at 29, said Salman Khan at the launch of tennis player’s autobiography ‘Ace Against Odds’ on Sunday.

“People dont achieve what Sania has achieved at 29 even in three lifetimes… I think she has lots to say, so before she forgets what she wanted to say she came up with a book. I think that was very wise, sensible decision for her to write her autobiography. And after this there will be part 2,3,4 because she is an achiever and she is going to keep on achieving,” said the Bollywood actor at the event.

Sania, who is friends with several biggies in the industry, roped in Salman Khan as a chief guest to promote her first book, and the actor seemed quite happy to do so.

The book captures Sania’s journey of becoming World No.1 tennis player in women’s doubles and the roadblocks that she encountered while realising her dream.

Salman Khan said that he has known Sania for 14 years, they share an incredible friendship and he truly believes that if Sania makes up her mind to enter the film industry, she will do wonders.

Talking about her biography Sania said, “‘Ace Against Odds’, is my story of an amazing journey and I am delighted to share it with the world. I feel specially honoured and grateful that my friend Salmon took time out of his extremely busy schedule to officially launch my autobiography.”

“We all have to struggle. I don’t think anyone has made it without struggle. All the people, who have not made it, have never struggled. Most of them have not struggled as hard as the other person. Everyone thinks that they are the only one struggling but what they don’t realise is that the next person is struggling three times harder than you. So you need to be working ten times harder than what you actually think you’re working,” the “Sultan” actor expressed.

  • Totally agreed
Sania is far more sexy than many make-up doll bolly actresses.
    Sexy figure, natural beauty…!

  • @Dr. Mashoor gulati.
Wht unique talent salman & Srk hve? They r just stars & good actors..there is no unique talent in them! ? Tell me single? Don’t start blubbering about Boxoffice and collection..

If they would hve not been actor, than would hve been clerk or ticket checker somewhere ?

  • u bloody @xzone..whts ur prblm dude..hamesha hi lagerehte ho..ye topic to fanwar ki tha hi nehin..kuchh kam karliya kar..khali bheje me yehi sab baat ati he tere…bloody moron…

  • @Wankhede- Was SRK the son-in-law(or any other relative) of Yash Chopra so that he was lucky being chosen by Yashji? What happened to Uday Chopra then? Accept it Lallutard that Yash ji worked with the best actors and SRK was the best actor due to his hardwork and he had immense talent and that’s why Yash Chopra chose him. I can’t even imagine Lallu being chosen by Yash ji since he is a non-actor and totally talentless and expressionless. Lallu would totally spoil Yashji’s greatest legacy of wonderful films. The greatest Indian actor(i.e. SRK) only gets the chance to work with Yash ji in his best phase in his back to back films. It’s an honour for the SRKians that SRK was the only actor of his generation to be chosen by Yash CHopra to starr in all his films at that time period.

  • Sultan became the fourth film to hit the 500 crore mark worldwide after its second weekend. The film has grossed around 367 crore in India and 140 crore in international markets. The figures are more than double of Airlift (210 crore) which was the top Worldwide grosser before Sultan. Below are the top ten all time Worldwide grossers.

    1. PK – 741 crore

    2. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – 604 crore

    3. Dhoom – 539 crore

    4. Sultan – 507 crore apprx (12 days)

    5. Chennai Express – 396 crore

    6. 3 idiots – 391 crore

    7. Dilwale – 372 crore

    8. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 365 crore

    9. Bajirao Mastani – 358 crore

    10. Kick – 351 crore

  • Haters gonna hate keep rocking Bhaijaan !!!!!! After Sultan super success haters are more butt hurt keep trying to write him off he keeps thrashing his haters !!!!!!!

    Too much fun !!!!!!!!

  • @1:31pm The Phenomenal Idiot

I think our Pluto King at the age of 29 or by the age of 29 was making a serious mark in the B grade semi porno industry courtesy of his all time classic Maya Memsaab…!

  • @1:10pm RatZone

In your world ie Tihar Jail the barjatyas /Saleem Khans have more financial clout/ influence than YRF coz YRFs backing of Pluto King in every single yr of the 90’s & noughties is tiny compared to the hugely successful Rajshri brand backing of Bhai right…!?!?!

  • Yeah definitely, you have a bunch of flops/disasters when you’re in 29 and entered the industry despite a talentless through PAPA’S help, what about that?????,rofl.and after 30 years too, you’re not considered as a true actor and till now couldn’t delivwr a single best performance from debut, what is bigger shame other than that?????,rofl.

And not to forget you’re still struggling for an ATHG for last past 22 years and still continuing.

    @Xzone,exactly bro.

@NO 1 PREDICTOR,that was my favourite bhai film too because bhai have expression in that film only, rofl.

  • @Wankhede 01:37 pm : You are as ignorant as your bhai….!
First venture which SRK signed under the aegis of Dharma production was ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ which was released in 1998 (six years post SRK made his debut).
And no need to mention that Dharmas were going through their all time bad phase. On top of that, KKHH had KJo as director who didn’t have any previous experience of directing a big movie.
So more or less KKHH was dependent upon the stardom of SRK (something which he earned out of his remarkable performances in movies like Baazigar, Dar, DDLJ, K&A etc).
So it’s SRK who revived the sinking boat of Dharma and not vice-versa.

As far as YRF are concerned, yes they were among the top production houses in 90s, but it’s not like they offered SRK a ‘heroic’ role in ‘Darr’. In fact, the decision of signing ‘Darr’ would have been turned suicidal for SRK, because he was doing a negative character in the very beginning of his career. Yet, with god’s blessings and despite of a negative shade, his character emerged as a winner and he completely overshadowed sunny paaji in that movie.
It was his flawless performance which left a long lasting impact on the heart of audiences and eventually it compelled YRF to offer him more movies.

Ok, for an instance, let’s accept SRK was patronised and promoted by YRF.
But still, do you know what is struggle in the career of SRK?

From the streets of Delhi to the doors of YRF office, that journey itself was a struggle and he suffered a lot and ceded multiple sacrifices during that journey.
So next time don’t dare to make fun of a struggler like what your bhaijan did by calling Himself a ‘struggler’.

@Hrithik 01:56 pm : How does that relate to my upbringings ? Please enlighten me Sir! :-)

  • Dont care much for Sania- she married a possible relative of that satan worshipper peasant from Prisonstan, that kaali jaaveeda fasal kelawala…! She should ask Boo Ali to help her cross the border n join those peasants over there…!

  • @1:37pm

    Agreed

If it wasnt Pluto King then it could have been Aditya Pancholi or Chunky Pandey that these Plutopurians today would be fans off…!

  • @Xzone I wanna point out your line:

“despite of giving so many flops, you never ‘struggled’ or woked to improve your acting or facial expressions (which you should have done!) instead you adopted the tried and tested formula of south remakes to save your sinking career”

If you think with poor acting, poor facial expression and by doing south remakes Salman is at the top, then everybody would be superstar. Why dont you be a super star? Friend, It’s easy to come here and comment nonsense. This article is about sania mirza so why dont you at least shut your mouth if you cant praise her.

  • @Wankhede
srk became a star with Fauzi serial and Baazigar movie….he was a poor guy, lost his parents…completed studies…noone in mumbai,,slept in streets…….yrf were not srks chacha or mama…..sallu had so many industry connection

  • @phenominal idiot:

In his 29’s, Bhai gave ATBB cum ATHG cum HGOTY cum HGOTD cum highest grosser of the century HAHK, blockbuster Karan Arjun etc. Still if those movies were flops according to you then I can only say “Jaldi se ILAAZ karwa apna!”

  • Hahaha… Now even you jaadoowalas are trying to make fun of Bollywood’s most ATBB, blockbusters, HGOTD, HGOTY, 300cr/200cr/100cr grossers giving Megastar! Do you know…..

Bhai’s total no of blockbusters are much more than Jaadooboy’s total no hits???

    Bhai’s ATBB count>>>> Jaadooboy’s blockbuster count.

Bhai’s HGOTY are more than 3 times of Jaadooboy’s HGOTY.

Forget Bhai, even Emraan Hashmi has more hits than your Jaadooboy. Even Ranbir, Ranveer etc have given higher grosser than Jaadooboy… Lol.

Still you moronic jaadoowalas are blabbering nonsenses on Bhai. What an irony!!!

  • wt an irony the eidi made jadoo bhaijaan who should be barred from doing movies is taking help of crappy remakes .. the biggest jadoo ever is of eidi calculator … lol.. no calculator is bigger than eidi made calculator….

  • hello jc its not about best training federations let sania also get same training as top stars get it k.she failed miserably playing single matches.if she had won atleast few single matches i would agree with u

  • @Phenom : Not a funny comment. you keep underestimating him and his knowledge he will keep proving you wrong. btw, at the age of 29 (in 1994), he gave a movie which broke Sholay’s record which lasted 19 years and till today holds record of Highest foot falls in history of Indian Cinema which your idol could not achieve despite running his movie at Maratha Mandir for years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @xzone : If you are literate enough you should know that do not judge a person unless you have gone through his/her journey. I may not like SRK but I have never denied his struggles in life. In fact, I had used a sentence many times that ‘During his struggling days, Salman and his family helped him’. Salman had struggled more than SRK because one can start from bottom and reach top but to fall from peak and then again to surpass those peaks speaks itself !!!!!!!!!!!! You are thought about such values but if you haven’t learn then the blame will go on your upbringing. I dont mind if you hate Salman but do not act as an illiterate and display it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NVS-Yeah SRK can’t ever have the fake stardom and overrated Eid dependent BO success that Lallu has.And even in 2000s Lallu was such a big star that Uday Chopra’s Mere yaar ki shaadi hai or Emraan Hasmi’s Murder got bigger opening then Lallu’s film……….
Forget them, even Tarjan the wonder car 1st day>>Dil ne jise aapna kaha
In his worst phase SRK gave an ATHG with just 6 days free run. SRK never had to pass a single year without his Super stardom whereas Lallu had to struggle for an entire decade to take birth in 2010.

@xzone-Why are you calling him non-struggler, he had to struggle by giving back to back flops in 90’s and 2000’s before taking birth in 2010. Such a ‘Decade Struggler’ star and still he is not getting credit.

  • Hahaha…According to plutopurians Bhai is successful only because of barjatya. Let’s analysis….

Bhai’s total no of blockbusters- 13.
    With Barjatya- only 2.

    Bhai’s total no hits- 29.
    With barjatya- only 4.

Remove barjatya from Bhai’s career. Still no change.

    Now let’s see yrf-dhama products importance in srk’s career….

    Total no blockbusters- 8.
    With yrf-dhama- 6.

    Total no of hits- 27.
    With yrf-dhama- 14.

Now remove yrf-dhama from srk’s career. People like krk, dolly Bindra, rakhi sawant etc look much more successful than duniya ka sabse bada superstar… Lol.

  • I have seen many big Fans of Salman Khan, fans who even worship him but 1 person that is really obsessed with salman khan is Xzone. He/She just cant stay away from salman khan articles.

  • @hritik
    dont compare hahk and ddlj
people cherish ddlj even now, all section of audience, then ddlj was released in way lesser screens and didnt have madhuri too and ddlj facef black tickets issue
hahk was an instant wonder….in tv today response is poor,,,,,who on earth today watch ahk except some housewives and grannies….it had 14 crap songs ddlj had only 5….people find hahk extremely boring today….and salman was just made a puppet show in that film whose job is to just shy….madhuri show all the way….beleive me todays people find akshay kumars Mohra way more interesting than hahk….yup the songs of hahk are evergreen nevertheless

  • I respect sania’s achievements (even though I don’t watch tennis) but I don’t agree with Salman about “struggle”. U see there is a thing called luck without it u can’t succeed. I can bet a poor building worker struggles much more than Salman or sania ever did & yet won’t be any successful. To be successful, u should hav a great work ethic, great intelligence & great luck but the reality is the later is more important than the former two combined.
