In a strong statement, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has slammed the ‘intolerant brigade’, telling them to be more responsible with words.
The actor, who is riding high on the super start to his patriotic film ‘Airlift’, also said that the country is very much tolerant, gives freedom of speech and expression.
“Our country is very much tolerant and gives freedom of speech and expression to everyone. However, it is our responsibility to think before we speak, as many times it happens that our words get misinterpreted. One needs to recheck their facts before speaking anything in front of the media.”
“I don’t think that India doesn’t give us the freedom of speech and expression. I am proud of my nation” Akshay said.
Recently, Karan Johar said that democracy and freedom of expression in the country is a joke.
Kajol, one of Karan’s good friends in the industry, also downplayed the controversy.
She said “Our industry will always keep reflecting on what is happening in our society. It will keep on going and everyone is welcome. There are no dividing lines, no caste, no creed and no intolerance in Bollywood”
Kajol had the same advice as Akshay, asking public personalities to speak well and correctly.
“These days people seem to have become oversensitive. As public personalities, it is our duty to speak well and correctly. I have always said my ‘Mann ki baat’ and it is no different now” the ‘Dilwale’ star said.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Prakash Jha also spoke about Johar’s comment on intolerance.
He said “He (Johar) had talked about his own state of mind and not the current state of the country. Why should we worry about his state of mind? He just described his mental state and it is his right to express himself”
He also said that there is absolutely no intolerance in the country “Our society is strong and we have been respecting each other cultures and communities”
Protestor proved that there are intolarenance in our country.India is tolarant country and freedom of speech is always welcomed in our country.
But its some of our people make this country intolarenance.

Regarding Aamir to make a film like Airlift, Aamir has already made some brilliant films like Sarfarosh & RDB having patriotic angle.Regarding Airlift, There was no one character there who helped all Indians that time the way Akki character did in Airlift, so the films itself is far from fact. Got it. Still I loved the movie because moreover than execution I was thinking about the environment people go through in those times.
Regarding Aamir used Salman, when he used Salman. You are talking like that as its Salman who made Aamir career at top. Mind you Aamir was close to Salman even before srk-salman fight happened. Go through Due Ka Dam episode which telecasted on June end in 2008, while srk-salman fight happened on 16th jul,2008. Whatever you want to say but I just wish you will be here after Dangal release. The time will teach you lesson moron.

In RDB it was DJ character that was the sole of film.Amir was fantastic in that role.Its my fav amir movie even ahead of 3Idiots. Amir movies work because of his perfection and his depth in the role.Dont be childish and take credit away from star because you dont like him.HR is my 2nd fav after SRK but he still has to achieve much to come closer to khans.
illogical people earlier credited srk success to yrf & Dharma ,Bhai if yrf & dharma are doing charity by giving chance to an outsider and whose acting doesnot matter and only association with yrf matters then why not you people try and ask yrf to make you star?You wouldnt be allowed to even enter their studio….Both Yrf and Dharma acheived huge success with SRK.(Yrf had successes even working before SRK and even with Salman and amir but srk was only successful star for them from 1995-2007
