Akshay Kumar’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara has opened to packed houses all over the country, but unfortunately for the film and its makers, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
Looking at the response that the film has got all over the country (morning shows were running at 90-100% occupancy in most cities), OUATIMD would have done business in excess of Rs 15 crore on its first day, if not for the limited screening. For a film that was initially slated for worldwide release during the Eid weekend and later postponed to 15th, OUATIMD couldn’t even take advantage of the Independence Day holiday.
Released on approximately 1300 screens today, OUATIMD is likely to collect around 7-7.5 crore on its opening day, which is slightly higher than what Chennai Express collected from its paid previews.
The film will have a wider release tomorrow, but will continue to face tough competition from Chennai Express which will benefit from both higher number of shows at multiplexes and more single screens.
Early predictions from taran 8 cr from 1200 screens. Tomorrow screens will be 2500+ confirmed. So it will show huge jump. Akshay’s performance is just awesome. Watched it in pakistan. Ouatimd paistan occupance 60% and ce 80% cuz srk has higher fan following. But akshay’s performance was highly appericiated also in pakistan.

Ouatimd :
1300 screens : 7-7.5 cr
So, its clear that blaming for lesser is not relevant. …Reviews r seriously negative and so is the wom…. Though i din’t watch the movie, some of my frnds went and they told me, that its a one time watch, bt nowhere in front of first part.
Nothing personal for akshay, but i think crossing 100cr is a bit tough for ouatimd as of now..

Ajay had said about a year ago during the release of SOS.. These cheap things done by SRK and his production house by occupying larger no. of screens will be very bad for the industry in the long run.
This time also SRK’s selfish and cheap tricks worked again. Quality movie like OUATIMD gets only 1200 screens.

The collections of “OUATIMD” will grow tomorrow bcoz it will get more number of screens and “CE” collections will drop bcoz it will lost many screens tomorrow.

Srk assured balaji of releasing 1000 screens but didnt released. They will be released tomorrow. I think tommorrow will be 100% jump. Can be 15+ cr 2nd day. And those comparing paid reviews. Dont forget price of ce was 40% hiked.

Poor Akki! Feel sorry for him. I wanted both the movies to do well, though I wanted CE to perform better. Word of mouth and reviews will decide the movie’s fate.

CE is masala entertainer . And we all know Masala movies works largely on there 1st week . Outimd gets superb response with 95% occupancy in theaters then definately screens are increased tommorrow … Outimd definitly rocks … Akki Rocks .
Last year Ajay,now Akki,next may be Ranbir or Hrithik.
Its really dirty politics going in bollywood.
I think Jitendra sir now gets that everybody not have big heart like him & people goes very low level for own profite.
If Srk has guts then he should challenge with his next film for Eid or X’mas releases next year.

Screens are 1100-1200 but shows are 2 to 4 thats why collection are low. But all shows are fully packed.

To be very honest, I will accept KRK number 1 critic if he wins all three challenges and OUATIMA flops.
He has won two. CE will/has cross/ed 150 cr, Madras Cafe will definitely end up as a disaster or flop.
Now waiting for OUATIMA verdict.
Expect a success party from Ekta irrespective of movie verdict. :p
