Interestingly the biggest grossers or hits last year like Jurrasic World,FF7,Avengers,MI5 & StarWars didn’t win a single oscar. Mad max was probably the only big grosser to win the Oscars that too in 6 categories.
Oscars r rarely won by big hits. Avatar,Titanic,Life of Pi etc were rare cases of big BO+Oscars

@ARJUN YOUNGISTAAN FAN Mad Max too was not a big grosser…$370M gross against a production budget of $150M…not exactly a big one…just grossed a bit more than double…but the others you mentioned grossed 6,7,8 times their investment :). Having said that Mad Max was indeed an amazing film and deserves all the accolades.
By the way, Leo is well deserve actor for Oscar

Happy for Leonardo Dicaprio as he rightly got his due Oscar award. And what a perofrmane he gave in The Revenant. One of the very best. Hope his first first oscar is not his last as he has much more in him to earn more of this prestigious award.

Inside Out is well deserving for win The Best Animated Film.
Didn’t enjoy Inside Out as well as Mad max was overrated…This just proves my opinion on Mad Max, very overrated…The story was about a group of people going from A to B to find paradise, but upon reaching B, Realized Paradise was in A so went from B to A but this times in 3 times shorter route…
