OMG Oh My God remains the first choice this weekend

Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal’s critically acclaimed OMG! Oh My God remains the first choice this weekend, as the film has performed better than the two new releases – English Vinglish and Kismet Love Paisa Delhi – for the morning shows on Friday.

Oh My God opened slowly on it’s opening day, but business picked up with every holiday (Sunday, Gandhi Jayanti). Like Barfi last month, Oh My God has once again showcased the power of good content and strong word-of-mouth.

With no major release in the next couple of weeks, the film is likely to give tough competition to all the new releases next week like Aiyyaa, Bhoot 2 and Makkhi.

Oh My God has collected approximately 36-37 crores in Week 1 and could cross the 50 crore mark in it’s second weekend.

Congrats to Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and the entire Oh My God team. Well-deserved HIT.

  • why you are mentioning just as a HIT??????????its a blockbuster..which has collected 66 crores worlwide in 8 days( recent update). the movie was made on a mere 18 crores!! critical acclaim plus a mountain of commercial success. its not just a hit.

    • @Praveen, the movie is just a HIT so far. It remains to be seen how it performs this weekend, and next. Since the future is always unpredictable, we cannot call it a Super-hit/ blockbuster, just yet.

  • stop calling it a akshay kumar success,,,
paresh rawal is the real hero of the movie and its he who deserves alll credit,,,
akki brought the movie into limelight but its the content which is driving the movie,,,

  • Salman Khan’s Dabangg sequel will have its climax shot in Satara. Sources reveal that the entire unit will be travelling to the interiors of the town where a set has been erected to shoot the climax of the movie.
Those working on the film reveal that the schedule for the film is quite on track and director Arbaaz Khan are super thrilled with the way the second part has shaped out.
We are told that the climax of D2 will be much bigger and spectacular than the first and it will have never before seen action scenes. Salman fans are in for a royal treat. (salmankhanholics.tumblr.com)

  • @babulsura, don’t take much tension for Akshay. Emraan had overtaken Salman’s three films lifetime collections with Jannat in 2008.
