Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has said he wouldn’t be interested in doing films that are ‘commercially viable’ or play character than can be easy to portray on-screen.
The ‘M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story’ star also said he picks roles that he feels he won’t be able to pull-off.
“When I know that a certain film is commercially viable and the character can be easily done by me then I don’t do these kind of films at all. I always want to challenge myself with each of my film as an actor. It used to happen with me in ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ and ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ that I won’t be able to pull it off and that same feeling I had before doing ‘Raabta’ as well” Sushant said.
Further elaborating on doing a film like ‘Raabta’, Sushant said “When I heard that I am doing two characters which are completely different from each other then I was game for it. I don’t believe in re-incarnation, so for me at least the story has to be so good that I can’t deviate from my seat for three hours and when I heard this script, I forgot whether I believe in re-incarnation or not”
“When we were working on it, we already knew what each character is but at the same time we were exploring lot of things and that gives immense satisfaction and whole new experience as an actor” he said.
‘Raabta’ releases in theatres on June 9.
These actors will prove gem for the future not those spoon fed star kids …expression less actors like arjun kapoor.. tiger shroff.. who dont know even how to speak
Going the same way Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn went. Not that easy and lots of risk involved but if succeeded He too will be known as a Versatile Superstar in future which shall take some time. Now its Varun who has the tendency of becoming a superstar faster because he is already into commercial entertainment which suits his acting limitation just like Akshay did in mid 2000s,lesser talent but media socials and commercial producers available slots anytime not caring about the scripts.
Look for good script as well along with good character. DDB was bad film and Raabta also seems bad. MSD wasn’t great either.

Raabta looks like a commercial film. Sushant had signed lot of films after the success of MSD, but he has failed to sustain that popularity, he has become more popular after MSD but that interest to watch the ‘Dhoni’ hero on big screen once again has drastically gone down among the audience. To add on to the woes, the film is a written flop now. If Raabta opens below 5 cr, it will be curtains for Sushant.

Even jagga jasoos doesn’t look like a thriller or something… The song of Jagga jasoos looks like a song of some girlish rom com movie..
Varun arjun sid ka toh chhod hi do…. unki bhalai isi me hai ki they should lick karan johar’s n alia,dp,shradha’s feet…. ..

Untold Story was completely Commercially viable Mr.Rajput because of Brand Dhoni though You did a great Job!!and nothing seems spcl in Your upcoming Raabta!! Too much talking by Him now a days…smell of smugness!!!??? May be…Being a Good Actor is not the Ultimate skill to sustain Mr.Rajput!!let’s see how far Your ‘so spcl’ Raabta goes!!

If raabta flops then he will become another shahid. Only so called critics hero with no commercial sense.
