@ Kenny..dude you gotta understand business before you talk cuz that makes you look fool …170 is the gross…net is in the 90’s and eros is going to get a share of around 50 crs which is the distribution share of Ra1 so far. This is how it works.
Gross
Net = Gross – Taxes
Distribution Share = Net – Producer’s percentage – theater owners percentage and stuff.
Eros is the distributor and they bought the India only rights of this movie for 77 Crs and overseas rights nobody knows. So for Ra1 to be called an average fare it needs to break even with that 77crs. Right now Ra1 stands around 50 crs distribution share in India so it needs to get another 27crs in distribution share which means it has to do around 50 crs net more in india which at this point doesn’t look good. SRk as a producer made a profit through Sat and music rights + 77 crs from eros + overseas selling price. But Here in India we call a movie a hit or flop or ATBB by its distribution share and not the Gross. Indicine please confirm this for SRK fans.

Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan’s filmy plans seem endless. After bagging this year’s most expensive project Ra.One, Shahrukh is all set to spell his magic in 2012.
It’s just a week since Ra.One has hit the theatre screens worldwide and Don 2 is already on its way to rock the nation. But ambitious Shahrukh has already planned to reign the industry next year (2012) by releasing three more films.
A leading newspaper report suggests that SRK has eyed on directors like Rohit Shetty, Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap for his back-to-back three films. In fact, Shahrukh has also planned to play the lead in all three movies. However, he is unsure whether he will be producing the films entirely or co-producing them.
On being asked by the media about the urgency of working on three movies in a year, Shahrukh explained that these quick projects will help his Production company Red Chillies Entertainment grow and prosper.
So Shahrukh, are you trying to build an empire by beating all the actors of the industry?

not 17 dude. The distribution share right now stands between 50-53 crs. It means it need to get atleast 24-27 crs DS more. and to get 24-27 distribution share it has to do 45-50 crs net more which is not possible now cuz of the crash. Verdict Ds will loose at least 10 crs on it.
Ra.one was just a warning to show who is the real king and Don 2 is the actual battles that will Show that SRK is Don and King while SK is none of this comprasion

They were comparing Ra1?s VFX with the likes of Avatar. This shows how dumb they are. Now they have started it all over agan by comparing Don2 with MI4. Ab dekhna dobara yehi thook in ke moon pe gire ga. SRk trid to do the same thing with Ra1. Look at salman on the sky SRK tried to spit with his over budget RA1 and he can not even break READY’s life time total in India. I am not against new technologies in India what pisses m off are the lies told by SRK. Ra1 is totall over budget movie and h said he spent all 125 crs on the VFX. Yeah there are some ok VFX in there but not at the standard of Hollywood. He miss managed the movie and it went over budget.
