Neerja has become the 2nd film this year to cross the 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The film has proved yet again why content is truly the king, as two films that have crossed the 50 crore mark this year have both been critically acclaimed, carried excellent word-of-mouth at multiplexes and were also based on real-life stories.
The audience has made it crystal clear that they are willing to spend on movie tickets, but only if a film deserves their time and money. There is pretty much no limit for films that carry a ‘must watch’ tag as even small films like Neerja, with limited 600 odd screen release, can go on to gross 60-70 crore at the box office.
Most other films this year have been rejected on Day 1 itself.

Great success. Though such films have to be very good to pick up and become major grossers. A regular commercial film with a decent budget is still the safest bet for a hit.
A film like #Neerja deserves this success.

I watched Neerja yesterday . It is a amazing movie and we should be proud of Neerja Bhanot who sacrificed her life for more than 350 passengers . The direction is incredible and So am has proved everyone wrong including me . Shabana Ji is one of the finest actresses of Hindi Cinema and once again she proves why there is no one like her in terms of acting . The climax speech is emotional and the best scene of Neerja . I am really happy to see Content oriented movies doing terrific business and getting great response from critics as well as audience . In this movie Sonam proves that she is talented but needs a solid script and a competent director to extract something special from her . This is a great time for women oriented movies as Mardaani, Queen, Piku, NH10, Kahaani, The Dirty Picture and Neerja all have worked at the Box Office . Bravo to the entire cast and crew for making a movie on one of the most unsung heroes of India . a movie’s content can be good or bad. so don’t think content is any special thing which related to class movie. content means what is the subject of movie. those who well connect with subject are good content movies. people thinks those movie are content driven if critics connect them but it is wrong if audience connect with any other movie then it is also a good content movie.
Since..its teasers one thing is sure shot..gaurav is innocent..and srk potrays innocence beautifully on screen so today..Only F A N.

i will never ever watch a movie by only reading the reviews. dnt know why all praising this film but for me this is most overrated movie..all are talking about content told me honestly whats special forget about special just told me whats there in this movie. end is worst.. its hard to understand why they have made this film and for acting sonam is really a bad actor. you will laugh on yourself after watching this movie..i just want to tell you all is dnt belive on critics

@Master Blaster SUSH – Bhai SRK ki film kabhi flop nahi hoti according to media for ex- Ra.One Budget -130 to 140 and collection – 120 crs lekin phirr bhi SuperHit…. agar fan sirf 5 crs bhi kamaye na to media oose flop nahi karegi….

but srk to non holiday pe release hi nahi kiya… us ke dil mein darr sa chha gaya hai after a longtime Fan will release on Non Holiday and that too for Compulsion. the last non holiday film of srk was average or flop MNIK…
