Nautanki Saala Saturday Collections: Picks up all over

Ayushmann Khurana’s Nautanki Saala started slowly but was steady at the box office on Friday. But much like the actors last release Vicky Donor, the film picked up across all centres on Saturday.
The growth in business was around 30%, as the film collected Rs 3.9 cr on Saturday compared to 3 cr on Friday. The 2 day total is close to 7 crores.

One of the reasons why the film didn’t open as well as expected on Friday was because of the revenue-share dispute between the makers of Nautanki Saala and the PVR chain of cinemas, which was only resolved late Thursday night. The show timings didn’t make it to the newpapers, which affected the morning shows at PVR and Cinemax on Friday morning.

On Sunday, the occupancy for morning shows was the highest for the weekend. So the Sunday collections could well be 4.5 – 5 crores, which would take the weekend total to 12 cr.

The IPL matches didnt seem to have any impact on Saturday, so its unlikely to affect the film on Sunday too.
